Enough is Enough

So Comey, Clapper, McCabe, and their ilk will not face justice; one law for the swamp and one law for the rest of us. Barr has outed himself as a swampcreature (which many of us suspected all along). And Trump? First Sessions and now Barr. The alphabet agencies engaged in open sedition.  Border fence not built. Shoveling money at Israel as fast as it can be printed. Immigration a mess. Kissing the buttocks of every special interest group the left can cobble together. Pedophile rings being openly and unapologetically protected by the cops and the gov't. The cart-pullers no better off than they were 4 years ago. And on and on.

Trust in Washington is non-existent in my house. The FBI, which I always pictured as a bunch of wholesome Mormons in crisp white shirts and ties, fighting for God and the American Way, was and is an illusion. Trump, who I thought was unable to be bought, has been either bought, co-opted, or is too stupid to understand what his base has been demanding.

Change my mind, comrades. Give me some hope that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't the lantern of Charon.

A Call to Action

4. Trump does not play checkers. He plays chess. He plays multi-dimensional chess. While the media and the progs and the Never Trumpers are flapping their jaws over the "nothing burger", I am confident that he is prepared to release Memogate Part deux. And Part trois. And Part quatre. Buckle up.

Torches and Pitchforks in Wisconsin?

It appears that Paul Ryan may be in trouble. From Breitbart:

Following a new primary election poll showing that House Speaker Paul  Ryan has plummeted to well below 50 percent in his home district,   Ryan is out with new mailers assuring Wisconsin voters of his desire to secure the border, and urging them to support him in his contentious August 9th primary election. 

The new mailers touting Ryan’s support for border security is interesting given that just last year, Ryan championed a spending bill that fully funded President Obama’s open borders agenda– including funding sanctuary cities, executive amnesty, and the release of criminal aliens. The mailers also come amid new reports indicating that, one month after his election, Ryan plans to bring up “criminal sentencing” measures that could release thousands of criminal illegal aliens from prison onto the streets.

“The only thing more disturbing than Paul Ryan’s refusal to secure the border is the extent to which he is comfortable lying about it,” Nehlen said.

“As long as Paul Ryan is in Congress, immigration will never be reduced, the border will never be secured, radical Islam will never be kept off our shores, and our children will never be safe,” Nehlen continued. “He is wholly owned by his donors, and his donors want open borders. When was the last time Ryan ever fought hard for something that his donors opposed? If Ryan remains, we can kiss our borders, our safety, and our sovereignty goodbye.” 

I admit that Ryan has been a huge disappointment to me.  Power and money are always seductive. Ryan didn't have the moral fiber to resist their siren song, and now Wisconsin voters will determine his fate.

A Battle Won In The Culture Wars

They would be ensnared by the rule’s broad redefinition of a vast swath of financial professionals as “fiduciaries” and its mandate that these “fiduciaries” only serve the “best interest” of IRA and 401(k) holders. 

The main focus of the Labor Department rule has been its likely effects on brokers and their customers. The rule creates a presumption against brokers taking third-party commissions from mutual funds they sell to savers. Because of this, savers who currently pay only a small commission on the execution of an order may have to pay a much larger fee based on a percentage of their assets, which would drive some brokers to simply stop serving middle-income investors. As I note in a new report for the Competitive Enterprise Institute, similar restrictions in Great Britain have caused a “guidance gap” in which brokers have largely stopped serving brokers with assets less than £150,000 ($240,000)."

What fresh hell is this? Ramsey has a ton of listeners, me included. I've learned a lot from him about a wide variety of financial matters. Also, the fees I pay my personal financial advisor are high enough, thank you. The middle class/working class is SO screwed.

Fighting The Good Fight?

Here's a very good article at the Conservative Treehouse about the mess in Burns, Oregon. This part of the saga really bothered me:

"In October 2015, the 9th District Court “resentenced” Dwight and Steven, requiring them to return to prison for several more years. Steven (46) has a wife and 3 children. Dwight (74) will leave Susan (74) to be alone after 55 years of marriage. If he survives, he will be 79 when he is released."

How can these guys be "resentenced" after they've already served their time? That stinks. Actually, this entire story stinks.

This won't end well. I question the sanity of the men staging this "protest", especially when they're bringing women and children to the standoff location. Are they intentionally provoking the Obama regime into a Waco/Ruby Ridge response? The attorney general hates her some white cracka people, and the prezzy could gain some street cred with the hood rats if he slaughters these families. Will he? Will he order them all killed?

No, this won't end well. If anything happens to these patriots (however misguided), the grassroots outrage and backlash will be brutal.  I'm just not sure our prezzy is smart enough to see the trap for what it is.  Whether it's a genuine protest or a false flag operation to expedite gun control legislation, it's playing with matches in a tinder box.

I love the attendees for their sense of humor; it IS pretty ridiculous. I hope the two police departments bill the manager of K O'Donnells for the cost of the chopper. Heh.

The Emperor Speaks

This is possibly the scariest component yet of the ongoing progressive overthrow of our Republic.

President Obama will pressure colleges and universities to change their behavior by ranking them according to a government formula that measures tuition, minority enrollment, graduation rates, student debt, and graduates' earnings.

"We're going to start to rank universities, understand who's doing a good job and who's not, and ultimately start to move financial aid, move resources, towards those universities that are very serious about this mission," Education Secretary Arne Duncan told MSNBC Thursday morning.

Why bother electing representatives? Obama and his puppetmasters have a plan, and they have no intention of letting an impotent and flailing Congress stand in their way. If the conservatives don't get off their collective behinds and fight back, we'll wake up one morning (soon) and be presented with a fait accompli.

Coffee And Crumb Cake

What is all this caterwauling and rending-of-garments over the fact that the NSA and the FBI are monitoring our communications? Haven't they done that for many decades? I may not like it, but it's certainly not news.

I'm thinking this is a deliberate attempt to deflect attention from the massive abuse of power by the IRS, and to a lesser degree Benghazi and the whole "boo-hoo, I'm a reporter...you can't target me!" thing. Also on the burner are the full-frontal assault on Judeo-Christian beliefs and the continued brainwashing (and dumbing-down) of our youngsters.

Many Americans are basically stupid. Their short attention span is momentarily grabbed by anything shiny. "Oh hey, look! Wait, what were we talking about? Ummmm....like, where's my free phone, bro?"

I also find it perplexing that the hippies and radicals from the sixties who sat on their asses smoking dope and sobbing about tolerance and free love are now the suits carrying the baseball bats.

The bad guys are entrenched, and they're drunk with power. Who will lead us out of this unholy mess? 

And no. I will NOT sit down and shut up, you effers. Hah!

He who does not learn history....

I have been thinking about this cartoon the past few days. It reminds me so much of the responses from Western political leaders after events such as the murder of Lee Rigby. Note the words in the song from 3:26 to 3:32.

Hopefully our leaders will wake up and that the results in the future will will be like those in the cartoon. Either that or the people wake up and replace their governments who seem so unwilling to protect their people from evil.

Rebellion In Rural Arizona

The White Mountains of Arizona are a rugged range that extends across central Arizona and into New Mexico. These mountains are beautiful, and elevations can reach over 11,000 feet. Alpine is a tiny little town tucked into a mountain valley.  It seems that the locals there have taken up torches and pitchforks against the federal government and the wolf reintroduction program. Again. This program has been fought over for years, and there are many facets to both sides of the argument.

The presence of wolves, who are responsible for the killing and harassment of livestock, is resulting in “despair, fear and hopelessness” in the rural community, she said. Wolves are also responsible for lowering the quality of beef. “Consumers demand high quality meat, the product of gentle handling, a low stress lifestyle. Growing up in a den of predators is not conducive to choice beef.”

Many speakers described  U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the architects of the wolf reintroduction program, as a failed agency. Patrick Bray, Executive Vice President of the Arizona Cattlemen’s Association, said Fish and Wildlife “has stalled out. I think it’s safe to say the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has failed at this program. It seems the only way we can manage this program is by dragging our feet.

“The sad thing about the wolf program now is that it is not managed by science and common sense, it’s managed by politics and lawsuits.”

The president's sonorous, gaseous banalities

Mark Steyn's column this morning is, as always, worth a read.

I dunno. Maybe it's just me, but the whole joint seems to be seizing up these days: the more "activist" Big Government gets, the more inactive the nation at large.

Steyn has a way with words that slices through the steaming piles of Washington crap and shreds the rotten facade that the American media struggles to protect. Most people won't read his article this morning; they'll rouse their families, cook breakfast, and bundle them off to church. They'll skip the newspaper and the nightly newscast, other than maybe a quick look at the sports or the weather forecast. They're tired of politics, and angry, and have turned their backs on the whole mess in utter frustration. They sit at their kitchen tables each month and try to stretch a stagnant wage as their dollars buy less and less, and try to prepare for the coming eruption with what little they have. They'll increase the size of their garden, buy a few chickens, and stock up on ammo when they can find it on the dusty store shelves. Such is life outside the big cities, away from the two deep blue coasts that dictate and pontificate to those who live in flyover land (or their own conservative citizens who struggle to be heard), those who work in thousands of small factories, who staff restaurants and hospitals, those that are told that $39,000 is middle class, while states brimming with government workers rake in almost twice that. The tail wags the dog.

We have just began the second reign of the Emperor Obama and his cast of misfits and slithering smeagles.  The conservative opposition party is ineffective, corrupt, and steeped in narcissism and outright treason. With the enactment of "immigration reform", millions of new progressive/socialist/communist/slugs will be added to the already compromised voter rolls. If Emperor Obama doesn't cling to power and claim a third term, Hillary will be a shoo-in. Or the drooling, senile Biden. Or Mooch, who somehow has forgotten to say "thank you" to all the taxpayers who funded her gilded, Ivy League education instead of educating themselves or their own children.

I'm thinking, as conservatives and sane citizens, we should concentrate our brain power, our time, and our wealth outside of the cesspool that is Washington. Let's figure out ways to remit as little coin to Caesar as legally possible. We should not comply with any mandate that weakens our  Constitutional God-given rights. We should consider abandoning states that are hopelessly blue, pack up the UHaul and the business, and invest our residencies and energies on states that are almost red. We can focus on our statehouses, and elect as many true conservatives as possible. We can support blue-dog dems, because there must be a two party system. I wonder what would happen if half the people in this country turned OFF their televisions and cancelled their cable/satellite contracts?

This is what has been going through my mind.
