Fighting The Good Fight?

Here's a very good article at the Conservative Treehouse about the mess in Burns, Oregon. This part of the saga really bothered me:
"In October 2015, the 9th District Court “resentenced” Dwight and Steven, requiring them to return to prison for several more years. Steven (46) has a wife and 3 children. Dwight (74) will leave Susan (74) to be alone after 55 years of marriage. If he survives, he will be 79 when he is released."
How can these guys be "resentenced" after they've already served their time? That stinks. Actually, this entire story stinks.

This won't end well. I question the sanity of the men staging this "protest", especially when they're bringing women and children to the standoff location. Are they intentionally provoking the Obama regime into a Waco/Ruby Ridge response? The attorney general hates her some white cracka people, and the prezzy could gain some street cred with the hood rats if he slaughters these families. Will he? Will he order them all killed?

No, this won't end well. If anything happens to these patriots (however misguided), the grassroots outrage and backlash will be brutal.  I'm just not sure our prezzy is smart enough to see the trap for what it is.  Whether it's a genuine protest or a false flag operation to expedite gun control legislation, it's playing with matches in a tinder box.

Putting The Pieces In Place

Obama's top Stasi goon is moving from Homeland Security to the Ministry of Youth Indoctrination and Compliance President of the University of California system.

Napolitano’s nomination by a committee of UC regents came after a secretive process that insiders said focused on her early as a high-profile, although untraditional, candidate who has led large public agencies and shown a strong interest in improving education.

Bend over, hippie freaks and hispanics. You're about to get exactly what you voted for; a jackboot up your ass. I'll bet you didn't think Obama's thugocracy applied to you, hmm?

In other "news", the Zimmerman fiasco is inching towards its inevitable conclusion. This trial is a mockery, and highlights how social justice has contaminated every aspect of our lives. It also showcases the profound stupidity that has crept in to all classes and races in this country. It's a pitiful display.

When the sham "verdict" is announced, I really don't care if people want to riot and burn their own neighborhoods down. Let 'em. Anybody with a brain cell left in their head should be prepared to defend their own patch of dirt from the government and media-incited mobs.

Tick tock.

"A heinous, despicable and honourless crime"

The wonderful Canadian columnist, Christie Blatchford, has been reporting on this crime investigation and trial since the beginning. Here is her summary after the verdicts.

The trial judge:

“The apparent reason behind these cold-blooded, shameless murders was that the four completely innocent victims offended your twisted notion of honour, a notion of honour that is founded upon the domination and control of women, a sick notion of honour that has absolutely no place in any civilized society.”

By using the words “honourless” and “shameless”, Maranger was tossing back at Shafia some of the very epithets he used so often when speaking about his dead daughters.

The mass honour slaying of Zainab, Sahar and Geeti — respectively 19, 17 and 13 — and 52-year-old Mohammad, Shafia’s other, and sadly barren, wife, ranks among the worst in the sordid history of honour crimes.

Admirable Or Creepy?

The state gov't in Missouri is cracking down on teachers who utilize their Facebook page to privately interact with their students.

As they prepare lesson plans for fall, teachers across Missouri have an extra chore before the new school year begins: purging their Facebook friend lists to comply with a new state law that limits their contact with students on social networks.

The law was proposed after an Associated Press investigation found 87 Missouri teachers had lost their licenses between 2001 and 2005 because of sexual misconduct, some of which involved exchanging explicit online messages with students.

But many teachers are protesting the new restrictions, complaining the law will hurt their ability to keep in touch with students, whether for classroom purposes, personal problems or even emergencies.

The new law forbids teachers from having "exclusive access" online with current students or former students who remain minors, meaning any contact on Facebook or other sites must be done in public rather than through private messages.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, I'm impressed that some teachers are going above and beyond the call of duty and taking on the role that's normally assumed by parents, and doing it on their own time. On the other hand, is off-duty, unsupervised social work part of their job? Adults chatting with/messaging children privately strikes me as a bit creepy, but I do think there are some really good teachers out there who genuinely care about the welfare of kids, whether they're on or off the clock.
