Score One For The Good Guys

The liberal hack Jim Acosta has had his press credentials yanked by the White House. Good. He's an embarrassment, a swampthing, and an all-around low-IQ jerk.

Plus, he assaulted a White House intern. What's a crime for Cory Lewandowski should be a crime for Jim Acosta.

Unless some people are more equal than others. Of course.

Classless or Clueless?

Auschwitz missed.

Not my President, not my country.  But I'm still disgusted that the supposed leader of the "free" world behaves in such a callous manner.

How, in all the history of the last 100 years, can he NOT BE THERE?

I am truly sad.  Sad that a modern President raised in the USA has no knowledge of the evil that men do.

Better have your blood pressure meds handy when you watch this.

I know it is redundant to say that Bill Whittle has a good video, but Bill Whittle has a good video. I appreciate how he exposes the facts and puts things into context.

Don't

If you ever wonder if you are living up to your potential...don't

If you've ever regreted being less than perfect...don't

If you sometimes feel that you could have done more...don't

If you ever sinned and didn't get caught, got drunk and forgot what happened, misbehaved  and did something you won't admit and now feel guilty...don't

If you ever believed that there cannot be people who exist in a (supposedly) civilized society whose actions are so far beyond decency, morality, virtue, ethics, civility, integrity, honour and grace...don't

Herewith, the almost unbelievable story of degradation, evil, and depravity:

May you rot in hell, Mairead and Mick Philpott.

Meet Chief Thief

Chief Spence on day 23 of her "hunger strike".

Theresa Spence is the Chief of a G-d forsaken community called Allawapiskat in Northern Ontario.  The "First Nations"  band living in Allawapiskat total between 1500 and 1800 people.  In the last six years the Canadian government (i.e. me, and my fellow tax payers) has given the community $104 million dollars, most of which has not been used to provide aid or assistance to the residents.  In addition to the Federal money, the DeBeers Diamond Mining company has provided over 100 jobs and $325 million in contracts to local band business.  More than 80% of all of these funds are unaccounted for (more about that later).

In 2011 the band pleaded for help stating that residents were living in abject poverty with inadequate housing, heating, clothing, schools and food.    The band was, at the time, "co-managed" (more about that later).  The Canadian government, in an effort to improve the lot of the band members, appointed a third party manager to oversee the financial management of the band.  And this is where things start to get really interesting.  Chief Spence objected to the appointment of the third party administrator and she took the Harper government to court over their imposition of third party management in her community – and won. The courts called the government’s implementing of third party management “unreasonable.”

Fast forward to December 11, 2012 when Chief Spence decided to move her well nourished body together with an entourage of "supporters" and "spokespersons" to an "island" in the Ottawa river (Ottawa being the seat of the Canadian Federal government) to begin a "hunger strike" (more about that later).  Said strike to be in force until the Canadian PM Stephen Harper and Governor General David Johnson agree to sit down and meet to discuss her demands for no less than one week.

Returning to the unaccounted for funds, here are the details of the damming report.

Returning to the "co-manager" of the band, Clayton Kennedy, who also happens to be Chief Spence's common law husband. He (and she) apparently see no conflict of interest in his co-management of the band and his relationship with the Chief. He is quite content to invoice the band $850 a day plus expenses for his "services". They own two vacation homes in Florida, she drives an $80,000 Cadillac Escalade, and the band stock portfolio is estimated to be worth almost $9 million.

Returning to the “hunger strike” which some newspaper columnists have referred to variously as a diet/New Years cleansing. Her liquid only “diet” and by liquid we ain’t just talking water. In true ancestral style, Chief Spence is also partaking daily of fish broth and moose broth. Both of which would keep an Olympic athlete fit for months. As one astute columnist noted, Chief Spence’s “hunger strike” has far outlasted the 21 days that Ghandi never exceeded and the 26 days it took for the IRA strikers to look like walking skeletons.. And in true sacrificial mode, Chief Spence has a chauffeured car pick her up from the tepee every day to drive her to a hotel so she can shower and rest.

In a moment of what can only be explained as Christmas madness, Stephen Harper has agreed to meet with Spence on December 11, 2012.

Chief Spence announced today that she will not attend the meeting.

Can Someone Explain It All To Me?

I am at a loss to understand events of this past week. Several American Embassies around the world were attacked. Four people, including an Ambassador, an Ambassador, were murdered.

Until 1979, during the term of the second worst President in U.S. history, such actions would have been considered an act of war. Today, however, the perpetrators of those acts are considered poor innocent victims of having their feelings hurt. Everyone knows you are justified in committing murder if your feelings are hurt.

I know such an irrational view from the current administration is to be expected, but such a view seems to be the norm from the denizens of Hollywood and the news media – those who purportedly are the most concerned with the freedom of speech. Christiane Amanpour said, “There is also 100-year law by the United States Supreme Court which says you can't cry fire in a crowded theater.”

Is there such a law? No, that statement is attributed to Oliver Wendell Holmes as part of the Supreme Courts decision in the case Schenk vs. United States in 1919. Charles Schenck distributed leaflets arguing against the draft during World War I. For his actions Schenck was charged with violating espionage laws. He argued that his actions were protected by free speech. Holmes stated that in times of clear and present danger certain restrictions can be imposed. Such a restriction could be described as someone falsely yelling “fire” in a crowded theater. Note that the word falsely is often left out of the quotation. If there was a fire in a theater, shouting “fire” could be considered appropriate.

What is the danger of falsely yelling fire? It could cause panic by making people be in immediate fear for their lives resulting in injury and death for no justifiable reason. That would be a clear and present danger.

Does this apply to the video and the attacks on the embassies? Is it reasonable to assume that mature adults will go on a rampage and commit murder because their feelings are hurt?

President Obama stated, “We stand for religious freedom. And we reject the denigration of any religion — including Islam.” Does the United States reject the denigration of religion?” No, if someone denigrates Christianity the government gives that person money.

What happens if a conservative Christian objects to government grants paying for “art” such a crucifix in a jar of urine or a painting of the Virgin Mary smeared with dung? Those people are accused of trying to deny others their right of freedom of speech. The arguments I heard against those grants asked, “Why can we not use government funds for something that supports religion but it is acceptable to use government funds to insult it?” When it comes to Judeo-Christian values, the liberal mind sees an unwillingness to pay someone else for speaking against those values as denying that person the right to speak out against those values.

How can it be that liberals say, among other things, that the producer of an anti-Mohamed video should be charged with murder? Did that producer tell those people to attack the embassy and commit those murders? Did he tell those people to go out and act like uncivilized animals? No, he made some insulting comments that hurt the people’s feelings. However, how many leftists in the U.S. have flat-out called for the deaths of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan? Oh, but that is acceptable political discourse (but disagreeing with Obama policies is inciting violence against the President).

I personally do not believe in insulting another’s religion for the sake of insulting another’s religion. However, it makes no sense to avoid calling a group of people a gang of murderous thugs because that might hurt their feelings and make that group of people act like a gang of murderous thugs. There comes a time that the truth must be told.

Using the logic of the left, if abortions cause shootings and bombings at abortion clinics then abortion clinics should be illegal. I am sure the left will get behind that idea in a hurry. What is the left’s reaction to those crimes? They hold anyone and everyone who speaks out against abortion responsible – even though the reaction of conservative political and religious leaders is almost exclusively that such actions are crimes that should not be tolerated and those responsible should be punished to the fullest extend of the law.

Now I realize that those on the left who are selectively outraged will be among the first to fall if a totalitarian society comes to the United States. I will be laughing at them from beyond the grave, as I am sure that I will go down during the fight.

It is just so saddening that western society, the greatest society in the history of the world, the society that has given freedom and prosperity in greater amounts to more people is being washed away to protect the tender feelings of those who want subjugate the world.

And those who always seem to bemoan the denial of rights are leading the cheers for it all to happen.

Tarnished Silver Eagle

This story of an Army colonel run amok will drop your jaw.

Col. James Johnson, convicted of fraud, bigamy, and conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman, was sentenced Thursday to a reprimand and a $300,000 fine.
The court-martial panel also imposed a sentence of five years’ confinement if Johnson, the former commander of the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, fails to pay the fine. He was not dismissed from the service and was not sentenced to forfeit his pay and allowances. His convictions all had to do with an affair he had with an Iraqi woman he met while deployed and his efforts to help her family.

Well, there's a bit more to it than that....read this article too.

It's crazy that the court-martial panel slapped this guy on the wrist, and even let him retain his job. He's a criminal and a liar, and a sleazeball too.

Johnson's father is a retired brigadier general and the court marshal was presided over by five colonels.

Oh. That might have something to do with it. I have a sneaking suspicion that Johnson will have no problem paying the fine.

The smirking guy on the left is James Johnson with his lawyer.

Devastating

That this exists in 2012 is beyond belief. That the UN produces almost daily condemnations against Israel for defending herself, but ignores North Korea, beggars belief.

I guess I knew these camps existed, I just hadn't bothered to find out the breadth and sheer evil of their existence. There are no words.

“One lucky day, I discovered some kernels of corn in a small pile of cow dung,” he said in a report released by Amnesty International in May.

“I picked them up and cleaned them with my sleeve before eating.”

"A heinous, despicable and honourless crime"

The wonderful Canadian columnist, Christie Blatchford, has been reporting on this crime investigation and trial since the beginning. Here is her summary after the verdicts.

The trial judge:

“The apparent reason behind these cold-blooded, shameless murders was that the four completely innocent victims offended your twisted notion of honour, a notion of honour that is founded upon the domination and control of women, a sick notion of honour that has absolutely no place in any civilized society.”

By using the words “honourless” and “shameless”, Maranger was tossing back at Shafia some of the very epithets he used so often when speaking about his dead daughters.

The mass honour slaying of Zainab, Sahar and Geeti — respectively 19, 17 and 13 — and 52-year-old Mohammad, Shafia’s other, and sadly barren, wife, ranks among the worst in the sordid history of honour crimes.

Forty Years Ago Today... er, Yesterday...

Don't let anyone ever tell you the United States has never defaulted on its obligations. It has, and it did so forty years ago today yesterday.

London's Burning

For the third straight night, rioters have burned, looted and pilaged numerous London neighbourhoods. Seeking "justice" for the police shooting of a fine upstanding member of the community crack dealing, violent gang member who was resisting arrest.

As the British police appear not to have been able to stop them and the government hasn't called in the army to disperse the scum, certain communities are taking the law into their own hands and fighting back.

More here and here and here.

My heart aches.

Tiptoeing Through The Cow Patties

After the bond collapse and credit disaster yesterday, anything threatening President Obama’s reelection is seen, by some, as a threat to America’s financial survival. This debt crisis is a bigger threat to the US than a Japanese invasion in 1942 would have been.

You may not see it that way and you certainly cant get out your hunting rifle to fix it. (Don’t be a sap, kill a Jap!)

Someone had gotten to someone. My best guess and this is a guess…an expose’ by the mainstream media, perhaps Murdoch, another guess, conjecture I admit, regarding the farce at Abbottabad, information possibly gotten through spying, bribery and blackmail, threatened to take down Obama.

With Murdoch’s good friend and “monkeyboy,” Netanyahu ‘on the ropes,” with crowds marching in Israel’s streets demanding his ouster, we have more timing to factor in.

The bin Laden killing, the third rate drama of capturing an unarmed frozen dead guy and throwing him into the ocean had probably become an albatross around certain high ranking necks.

Norway was no accident, it was a warning too. It has been containerized, just as the Murdoch espionage issue is now “poor Rupert and the pie thrower.”

These Americans are casualties in a game, one like 9/11, sacrificial pawns, like Britain’s 7/7, all lies, all theatre, all evil.

Duff is a disgusting little man. Accusing ANY American President of brutally murdering his own special forces troops is beyond the pale. On top of the rest of his idiotic drivel, don't you like how he calls Netanyahu "monkeyboy"?

Shamelessly lifted from Jonn's place: This Ain't Hell. Go give him some love!

Is The Obama Administration Abandoning Yet Another Ally?

A spokesperson for the US State Department has made it pretty clear that, if shooting starts over the disputed Spratly Island Group that we will not honor the terms of our more than 100 year old mutual defense treaty, and will abandon the Philippines to the tender mercies of the Chinese communists.

I suppose I should have expected no better, as our 'president' is far more in tune with the political philosophies of a place like China than he is any free nation.

Dear Congressman Weiner

I really think it's time that you do the right thing and resign.  You have been a veritable lion for the progressive cause...a lion!...full of spite, and hateful zingers, and mind-numbing misinformation...but it's time to go.

It's not that you've been caught in a youthful indiscretion; you're not young.  You have exhibited such an appalling lack of judgement and morals that you make other sleazy men look tame by comparison.  Suddenly icky Tiger Woods and purulent Brett Favre seem misguided rather than scummy.   That is quite an accomplishment, Anthony.

Now, go.  Slither back under your rock.

Someone Remind Me Please, What Century Is It?

Although early marriage is the norm in her small Nepali village, 16-year-old Surita wails in protest as she leaves her family's home, shielded by a traditional wedding umbrella and carried in a cart to her new husband's village.

Long after midnight, five-year-old Rajani is roused from sleep and carried by her uncle to her wedding. Child marriage is illegal in India, so ceremonies are often held in the wee hours of morning. It becomes a secret the whole village keeps, explained one farmer.

A report on child brides in National Geographic. Heartbreaking, nauseating, and frightening. Be sure to view the picture gallery.

More Sphincter Speak

Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury and spiritual leader of the Anglican church, is a deluded nutcase.

In fact, instead of the honorific "Your Grace" he should be addressed as "Dis Grace".

Nurses On Strike

Clara Barton and Sally Louisa Tompkins must be spinning in their graves.

Nurses at the region's largest hospital began a 24-hour strike Friday morning, following nearly a year of on-again, off-again contract talks.

These nurses abandoned their patients to stand outside with goofy signs proclaiming that they're advocating for their patients.  Um, yeah.  The hospital is having none of it.

Hospital spokeswoman So Young Pak said that of the 313 nurses scheduled to work the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shift Friday, more than 150 came in. Replacement nurses were hired to fill in for the rest. The D.C. health department licensed 26 nurses Wednesday and 100 Thursday, a spokeswoman for the agency said, to help ensure that the 926-bed hospital center facility would remain adequately staffed.

"Everything is running smoothly," Pak said."All our services are in place."

The job action is supposed to end at 7 a.m. Saturday. But hospital officials say they will lock out striking nurses for five days - meaning that the nurses will not be paid or allowed back to work until Wednesday - because the hospital is obligated to pay replacement nurses for a minimum of 60 hours of work.

The hospital needs about 600 nurses a day, 300 each for a day and night shift.

I think it's reprehensible for nurses to walk off the job, and I feel the same way about teachers, cops and firefighters.  These are supposed to be higher callings, not cash cows.  Maybe I'm being too hasty...are the nurses underpaid?  You decide...

The hospital says entry level nurses earn about $57,000 a year and experienced nurses earn about $98,000 a year. The union says average pay is about $37 an hour, so a typical 36-hour work week would be about $70,000 a year.

Why in the world would intelligent professional women and men, making a damn decent wage, congregate on the streets and make fools of themselves?  Who's stirring up this hell?

On the picket line, the biggest turnout is expected around noon, when AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka is scheduled to speak. Clergy and other labor unions are also expected to show their support.

Oh FFS.  Trumka has his sticky little fingers everywhere, doesn't he?  Trumka and weasels like him are destroying the essence of what makes America great, and corrupting vast groups of professionals with a never-ending money/benefit tree.  It's sickening.

Bravo for the nurses who crossed the picket line to take care of their patients, and to the replacement nurses who answered the call for help.  All is not lost as long as there are teachers, nurses, cops, and firefighters who remember WHY they chose to dedicate their lives to helping others.

Trumka at his best

Quote Of The Day

Tom Brokaw:

If I went away tomorrow, NBC News would still be the dominant news division in America. There ain't none of us who is irreplaceable.

Ouch.  My 2nd grade grammar teacher must be spinning in her grave, writhing in agony. What a stunning display of...what? I know the man can speak proper English. Is he trying to connect with the ignorant class, or just drag the rest of us down into his cesspool of stupidity? Either way...

You suck, Tom. You really do. Go away already.
