ReplyDeleteYou know, I've honestly hope so; I'm certainly no fan of her or her husband, but I still want the office to be held in respect. What the First Lady wears is certainly not earth-shattering, but it's just another one of those things... If she appears at public events looking like she was dressed in the dark by color-blind people who hate her, it's yet another blow to the image of the country as a whole. I am happy for us when I see her looking elegant (which she has a couple of times); I cringe most of the time. And the "She's just like Jackie O!" hysterics when she's clearly NOT just doesn't help either...
Time will tell.
The whole "grab the drapes from a Motel6 and add armholes" look is horrible, IMO. It's downright embarrassing. Now that she's scored a new stylist, maybe it will prompt her to hire a new clothes designer too. Or a new clothes-picker-outer. Or whatever.

Michelle Obama has but one "style" ... short waisted ala Euro Empire cut or Korean Ariyang dresses ...e.g., belt waist goes about 4 inches below the boobs. Whoopie Goldberg can explain it ... and has done so.

Thanks for the good wishes ladies, I had a cold bug that laid me low for a few days but I'm up and about now.
I'm glad you're better, Fay, and I hope Mr. & Mrs. Redhawk weren't impacted by those awful storms in AK...
