In order to lighten the load, I thought I would post this. If I recall correctly, this was released just before Pearl Harbor.
This may not be my favorite story line, but there are some great bits in it. "Goodness Gwacious, it's morning awweady>' has been a favorite phrase of mine for years.
There are some marvelous things in this cartoon. The orchestration is Carl W. Stalling at his best. The artwork is fantastic – make you cringe on what passes for animation today. And be sure you look at the opening credits.
While this was probably considered a throw-away at the time, the artistic effor that went into this is amazing.
