Oh No, Homer, She Has The Power Tools!

This is a warning:  run for the hills!  I'm attempting to add emoticons to the comment box.  This involves me rummaging around in places I shouldn't be, so put on your hard hats and prepare for flying parts and crumbling  walls.

If I'm not back by nightfall, send in the 82nd Airborne!

  3. Well, crapola.

Let me go over my code once again. I'll also double-check my data nest link.

  4. Okay, I tweaked my data nest with a big orange hammer. Let's see what that does...

I wonder if my java is acting up? Are these smilies working for anyone else?

  6. Heh. Well, I can see the smilies, they're all moving, but I can't do anything with them.

  8. I think it's not working because of other custom code we have. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)

I'll do more research, and try again some other time.

  13. Ummmm... from a Vista and IE8 perspective something is very broken this morning.

  14. Well... in the short time it took me to write that last comment everything fixed itself! Except for the emoticon menu not working for me.

  15. Sorry, everything is broken for a bit because I was still in my sandbox. Recent comments are fixed. Emoticons still work - I think :))

  16. The button called "Display Emoticon Menu" is supposed to smoothly fade in the menu of smileys.

Still hacking on that. Could be a bit...

  18. Lewy... you've created a Blogger screen dimmer! When I press the emoticon menu the page darkens, when I press it again it comes back to normal brightness. Very cool actually, though not your intent I'm guessing. :)
