19 Years Since 9-11: Enemies - Foreign and Domestic

Always remember.

The pain becomes more manageable but the anger and the outrage never die. At least not for me.  A fundamental change occurred that day. The most successful nation in the world was hated so much that human beings flew passenger planes into buildings full of human beings.

There were no doubts back then, these enemies were foreign.  And here we are 19 years later.  The biggest threat to our survival isn't foreign but domestic.

Our governments hate us...lockdowns, travel restrictions, mandatory mask laws, self isolation, cancelled concerts, cancelled weddings, restrictions on numbers of people who can attend funerals/weddings etc.  Terminally sick patients left to die without being allowed to see their loved ones. And on, and on, and on.

And people hate us.  BLM and Antifa.  They hate us. And they are willing to go ape shit crazy to prove it.

Our enemies are domestic.  And far more deadly than than the foreign.

  1. Import and memorable event happen from time to time, but it is not often that something happens that etches the date into the memories of everyone who was aware. While every generation has a date that people remember until the end of their lives, our generation has two -- November 22, 1963 and September 11, 2001.

I fervently hope that it is generations before such a date happens again.

  3. Fay, you speak TRUTH.

We're not even allowed to have enclaves where we can get away from this shit. I've had enough.

  4. Sorry I haven't been around much. The big C has hit where I work, and I'm the huckleberry. I have 14 positive people in isolation, and I'm working frantically to keep them healthy. Long, long hours. I can't hug my family or even go to the store, for fear of spreading the ickies to someone susceptible. I work in a cheap PPE suit so hot that I'm soaked with sweat all day long, 13-14 hour shifts. I'll be so glad when this madness is over!!!! I'm super angry and frustrated, and not much fun to be around this week. (guzzling a beer I just bit the cap off of)...heh! Glad I was able to take this weekend off, I needed a break.

    1. Please don't mention this stuff on FB. We don't need a panic. People are increasingly stupid.

    4. When this is over, assuming we are not all in old folks homes, you need to come visit and I will treat you to one of our world-famous Nash Cosmopolitans.

As for FB, I try to avoid politics as much as possible.

  6. I always feel the same shock, revulsion and despair on 9/11. You are so right about our enemies, Fay, and now they want us to "get along".

    Never.

I've lost all faith in American elections. I was naive enough to believe for years that they were the gold standard of the world. What a horrible joke.

    1. I like watching Forensic Files. There are several where a spouse dies and there is a grieving husband or wife. Then it turns out that a previous husband or wife died under similar circumstances.

After the election this week I think people will see that the metaphorical previous spouse died under similar circumstances. Trump is a fighter and he will expose the corruption. Maybe nothing will be done — officially — but at least the cat is out of the bag.

If they mean to have a war, let it begin here.

    2. florrie, I miss you. Do hope you and mr. florrie are okay. This election is beyond belief...belief in transparency, decency, integrity, fairness, truth, believability, justice and truth. I despair for the future. And because of that, I'm glad I'm old.

    3. Oops, put "truth" in there twice. Although that's probably not bad thing...

  7. i miss you too, Fay. We are doing fine, hanging in there. Tom was lucky that his work was considered "essential" (isn't everyones?) so he never missed time. I'm sort of a hermit and germaphobe anyway so I had lots of sanitizer, handwipes (and TP, ha ha). But I haven't been able to see my mom in person now for 9 months.

Sometimes I feel the same Fay, I tell myself "I'm glad I won't live to see a socialist takeover of my beloved country" and the Trump administration has revealed just how corrupt our entrenched bureaucracies are.

I pray Trump will be successful in stopping the leftists from stealing this election. They've had 4 years to hone their fraudulent methods, which are numerous. I won't give up until President Trump does. We aren't afraid of the consequences if the election results are changed. Like lady red, we're well "prepared" :-)

You and Radio Matt please stay well and safe!!!

  8. We are pretty good florrie. Like you, we haven't been able to visit loved ones either (Matt's son and the grandchildren) this year at all😥. My sister has been pretty ill and I
have a new great niece in the UK neither of whom I'm allowed to visit. This makes me very sad. I hope we will all get to visit our loved ones before we leave this mortal coil!
