Arenas

In Matt's last awesome post lewy alluded to all the arenas in which this political fight is being waged. This hit song caught my attention the first time I heard it a few days ago. Interesting. VERY interesting.

  1. Low-skilled rednecks with an arsenal of guns and pick up trucks aren't the only ones that listen to/buy this music.

There are also hundreds of thousands of bankers, teachers, doctors, lawyers, etc that identify with this. The Swamp Things and wailing snowflakes are vastly outnumbered. Tick tock.

  3. He is singing about my area of the country, Pennsylvania between Philly & Pittsburgh, our very own little flyover country that really, continues into rural New York and south into West Virginia.

  4. This is an anthem if I ever heard one.

And I know just where to post it.

  5. Loved it. I'm crazy for voices like that, like Hank Williams, Jr. or *swoon* Trace Adkins.

I'm not a big country music fan but I loved this one as well.

  7. Smooches back to you, dear Fay.

I've been checking in now and then, miss everyone. In August I got a new right knee, recovery was much more intense than I expected - even though I knew it would be painful. No way will I do the other one except as a last resort!

The good news is that it's much better than it was, and the worst is far behind me now.

Hope all is well with you & Matt...

    1. Aww...

I have my mom's boxer living with me now while she's in rehab. His name is Woofie, and he's a big boy. Between him and my two girls, my little house has practically grown its own ear flaps and wagging tail.:))

    4. Thanks, guys. They fit right in with our one remaining cavalier but wanted to chase the cat, Gilbert. Thank gawd, they eventually got used to each other but we had some wild chases in between.

  12. Praeger U had a video this week. The main idea is that it is not that people who are happy are grateful, but that people who are grateful are happy.

I have a hard time remembering that sometimes, but I should.

May you all find reason to be grateful for.

  13. Missed it by a little but only b/c the turkey put me to sleep.

I join Dances in warm and expansive embrace of all of us, and am thankful once again for that companionship.

Matt – Praeger has it down correct. Gratitude isn't just an emotional reaction, it's a practice... and begets more gratitude, and joy.

And yeah, that's just as hard to pull off as it sounds.

  14. lady red, I love boxers and always thought I'd want one but when it gets down to it, I'm afraid of bigger dogs. I've turned out to be such a wimp in my old age (29 9/8). I hope he gets along ok with your girls...
