We Are A Rudderless Ship

Darkness, fear, and grief in Tokyo.

A damaged nuke plant on the verge of meltdown.

West coast Americans in a panic.

 War and chaos in Libya.

Dysfunction, civil unrest, and thuggery at home.

Our President's response? Vacation in Rio!

2012 can't come soon enough.

  2. Lewy14 ... Dang! You beat me to it.

The jug eared "Manchurian" messiah can do far less damage there.

  4. In the "chaos in Libya" category ... all anyone has to do is remember how the jug eared messiah handled Honduras

PS: When the "Arab League" took a break form blaming Israel for all earthly ills ... they asked for a no-fly zone (a week ago at least) over Libya. UH...a question: Why didn't/doesn't the Arab League impose their own no-fly zone there ... it isn't like the Saudi and Jordan Air Farces don't have the F-15 & F-16s to do so?

  5. Ari. That is a disgusting but oh so funny Photoshop.

'Why don't the Arabs do it?'

Because they are afraid of 'revolt' if they ask their own pilots to do so?

Because when it is all over they can somehow 'blame' Western Democracy for whatever results from all this? Which in my opinion will be a Muslim Theocracy.

  6. Just saw this over at WZ. Diversity panel wants military to look like U.S.

This action will eventually debilitate, decimate, and destroy the effectiveness of small unit combatants.

NOT because of any particular individuals shortcomings or lack of ability. But because the additional complexity of small unit relations will overwhelm the leaders.

  7. Obama's inability to do anything of substance, I can kinda understand; he doesn't want to commit to any one course of action he'll be criticized for. The nuance, you see. But to be so utterly tone deaf as to how what you ARE doing appears?

As for opinions on things... As the Mid East continues to implode, I've moved very much into the containment camp. Your internal affairs aren't my affairs unless you choose to make me notice you in an unfriendly way (ie, hurt some of my people), and if you do, I bomb the snot out of you. If I believed that any of these "democratic" protests would result in something other than an islamic state, I might be willing to help make sure power was balanced in the region (ie, no fly zone, weapons sales...) But since that's not the case, I'm hard pressed to defend supporting the deposition of a nominally islamic dictator for what will be in the near future a hardline islamic dictator.

But what do I know - I'm just an ignorant Bible and gun clinging hater.

  8. Yes, Lyana, well said. I would only add that perhaps we can't wait until some of us are hurt. That could number in the millions nowadays. Though, true, it may take that to awaken this country. Sadly.
