The Big Five O

Happy 50th Birthday to James Spader, one of my favourite, and oh so didn't he used to be drop dead gorgeous, actors. His politics and mine have a galaxy between them but I could watch him on screen forever.

  1. He was very good looking in Secretary. Which I thought was a totally good movie (although not for everyone's taste).

  2. Be still my beating heart, I was inn love with James Spader. I've watched White Palace about 8 times. He was also AWESOME in Sex, Lies and Videotape.

    Even Pretty in Pink :-)

Fay, I could watch him forever too. Ditto Alan Rickman.

  5. And who thought it would be a good idea to resuscitate the remaining two original members of The Who to play the half time show at SB???

They sound friggin awful and look worse.

Roger Daltry looks like his granny gave him a home "permanent" either that or he borrwed my great aunt Gertie's wig.

LMAO!! (his granny would have to be about what, 130?) And Pete is a kiddie porn aficionado. Oh wait. He was just doing "research"...

Glad I missed them. It's hard to beat the half-time show Paul McCartney put on a couple years ago.

    Fay, LMAO!!!

The halftime show was horrific. Not only that, but most of the million-and-a-half commercials are decidedly UN-funny.

The game, however, is very good, and will be even better if the Saints score on this drive...

  8. Oh, I LOVE Alan Rickman in movies! But I really hate his politics.

Also, I thought Love Actually was the stupidest movie ever made. And I realize that I'm in a minority on that, but I would seriously rather watch Kevin Costner as Robin Hood than watch Love Actually ever again.

  9. I hate his politics too, afw. But when I see him onscreen I'm not thinking that he's the guy who wrote a play about Rachel Corrie. pffft
