Saturday Night/Sunday Morning Music

For the non FB's amongst us, a FB post I made today:

My husband Matt Meaney (the ex DJ) never ceases to amaze me with his musical knowledge.  I always thought "Any Way That You Want Me" was an original Troggs recording and hit.  Well, lo and behold, there is a version by someone called Evie Sands that blows the Troggs and anyone else, Out. Of. The. Water.  Enjoy!

  1. Lots of good music back then. This one touches the soul. I love sharing great music with my sweetie!

  2. I left a comment last night and this morning it's gone!?!

Anyway, I basically said Fay knew allot about music too; I'd never heard The Troggs song before or Evie Sands version. It's nice to have spouses in the know about music, Tom has introduced me to many artists that I likely wouldn't have listened to otherwise.

  3. I love the whole song - but my favorite part is the intro... super slow, super smokey mellow... if it were up to me I'd arrange the whole song like that and dispense with the loudness in the chorus - but hey, this was the age of AM, not FM; I get that... if the whole song were done sotto voce it would have gotten lost in the airwaves.

  4. Sometimes I like the change in dynamics from soft to loud. The loud may not be your favourite part of the song, but puts an emphasis on the soft parts, making them stronger. My two cents worth, anyway.

  6. Hey, it's auto-correct. I usually don't worry about it or all I would be doing is going back and changing things. My typos keep me buoy enough!

    2. Aaragh, I hate those things. I mean, really, how many friggin leaves do you have anyway.

He probably subscribes to the Goracle, without a hint of irony.

    3. It's a look back on the 60's from the 90's. Nice.

      I like it!
