  3. He competes in the 50 KM Classic Nordic Cross Country? Wow! He's a tough SOB no matter what. Some one to look up to. Period.

Yes. Brian makes many an able-bodied person look foolish. He is a true hero.

  5. Hot damn! Bode Miller won Gold in the Alpine Combined (Downhill+Slalom)...too bad I can't actually watch it until tonight, trying to figure out when NBC will show the snippets...whille I watch the Canada/USA hockey game.

Remote channel changer finger is going to get exercise I suspect. I should add that to my fitness program, eh?

No offense intended, but a choice: Ice Dancing on NBC or Canada/USA hockey on MSNBC? Puleeeze.

  6. I'll be switching as well ari...but only because I know I won't be able to watch the whole hockey game...I'll be too nervous. My heart's in my mouth right now and they don't start the game for over 2 hours.

  7. Noah's going through all our channels trying to find the hockey game...no luck yet...

He's found racing tea kettles several places though.

I'm so happy that Bode won!

  8. The only thing he's finding is a re-broadcast of the game tomorrow morning. Dammit! :(

I guess we'll watch ice dancing and bobsled.

  9. The game hasn't started yet lady red, 10 more minutes.

  10. Fay, we're very upset that we can't see it! (Noah is grumbling about "ice dancing" and sticking his finger down his throat while making gagging noises).

Me, I love the ice dancing, but I'd love to see some hockey too! Will you keep us updated?

  11. I will be perfectly happy to see Canada get the silver after, of course, the US gets gold.

Sweetie, should I start making up the couch yet?

  12. Here's the link for up to date game play.

  13. I told him he's never eating.

    Or walking.

    Ever again.

  14. Now now, it's JUST a silly hockey game.

/running away as fast as I can

  15. We're watching something called "ski cross". Wow, what a thrilling event! Those guys are CRAZY!

  16. The game is tied! Fay, are you a nervous wreck yet???

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yes I am! Although Canada is playing much better this period. I think they were a bit nervous in the 1st. They are certainly outshooting that other team...

  18. 34-19 shots on goal for Canada

    ReplyDelete
  19. My nerves are shot. I'm emotionally exhausted! This is insanity!

    ReplyDelete
  20. We're toast :(

Watch out for Canadians jumping off cliffs at a location near you...

  21. It ain't over until the fat lady sings... and honey - I'm not singing yet!

    ReplyDelete
  22. NBC just cut to the hockey game, with less than a minute to go. Thanks for nothing, you jerks!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Uh O Canada.

Wrong goalie, wrong goalie, wrong goalie.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Luongo should have been in goal.

You don't lose games that are 43 - 21 shots on goal. Unless your goalie didn't bring his A game. Yes Brodeur, I'm looking at you.

  25. *sigh* well like I said. It ain't over until the fat lady sings... and I haven't sung yet. So - its ok. We will do it. We still outshot the US Team by 2:1. That alone is IMPRESSIVE.

    ReplyDelete
  26. But, but, but, it's only impressive if we have the right goalie in play.

    Louie!!!

  27. Looks like we may win the Gold in Ice Dance though, our pair were superb tonight.

And they're in the number one spot.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Fay...Canadians Virtue and Moir should win the gold, they skate as well or better than the rest, and most importantly, for Ice Dance (so I'm told) they do so with close proximity to each other...closer than the rest. It ain't a jitter bug contest. Hip to hip, arm in arm, there's not much room for error.
