A serene walk in an English country garden.

  1. Oh Fay, that's lovely! I think I'll spend the day here, walking amidst the blooms and admiring the lawns, basking in the English sunshine... :)

    1. That photo was taken at Sissinghurst one of the most famous and beautiful gardens in England. The garden was created by Vita Sackville-West and her husband Harold Nicholson at Sissinghurst Castle in Kent. If you are interested in really scandalous behaviour try Googling them. They and their contemporaries leave Jerry Springer in the dust.

    2. Wonder if that was the inspiration for the name Lobelia Sackville-Baggins in Lord Of The Rings?

    3. Dances, that was exactly my first thought as well upon reading her name!!!

My memory is SO bad but I think I *did* see a program about them, could have been a BBC production, and they were indeed very scandalous!!!
