I don;t know that I can get on board with this? Why would anyone spend a billion dollars to develop a new medical device if this organization will make it available for nothing.
I can understand making things available that are being kept from people just for the sake of keeping them from people, but we have to be careful that this sort of movement does not shut down development.
Okay, so why does Blogger all of a sudden decide that I am persona non gratia (or however it's spelled)? I never logged out, never failed, never got booted out, and then it decides it doesn't know who I am and I have to log in again...WTF?
Question: did you log into your Google account on another machine, or connect to another netword? Sometimes Google will log me out when I do that. It's a security thing.
BTW I think you meant "non grata"... Elizabeth II is Dei Gratia Regina.
Like, when I take my laptop and connect to a cafe WiFi or in someone's office WiFi, and then come home and pick up a Gmail session or whatnot on my home computer... and find I've been logged out.
Hmmm... Google accounts will simply time out after a while. I use a different browser for "lewy" than my real world identity; the computer that "lewy" uses seldom goes anywhere, but "lewy" still gets logged out maybe every few weeks.
It's unlikely folks will agree with everything here - or understand everything here (though I can explain some of that).
ReplyDeleteBut there is courage in this young man's convictions.
Holy smokes.
ReplyDeleteYes lewy, I'd like for you to explain this further. I don't know if I'm appalled or exhilarated. Or both.

Pajamas Media has more about Cody Wilson.
ReplyDeleteIt never did play for me, Matt explained it to me. Not sure how I feel, leaning in Matt's direction I think.

ReplyDeleteWhy should you be any different than anyone else?
DeleteExactly.

Thanks for the non grata lewy, I instictively knew that non gratia was wrong but cbb to look it up.
ReplyDeleteAnd no, I didn't try to log into Google from another machine and I have clue zero about netword. Never heard of it in fact.
Er... network. Another network. My bad.

My home computer is a desktop so it never leaves home....
