As the heat intensifies on Eric Holder regarding his questionable testimony before Congress regarding the botched "Fast and Furious" program, the Obama administration is in full distraction mode.
First there was a huge doc-dump on Friday evening. Then this morning, voila!! A presser regarding the joint DoJ/FBI bust of a terrorist plot! Saved in the nick of time! Eric Holder himself opened the press conference.
Of course, the actual arrest was a couple weeks ago. Oh, and it was just an "overt act", no actual explosives were purchased, no one was actually in any danger. Our guys were paying this perp to participate. And, erm, the target was the Saudi embassy and ambassador.
Holder got a question about "Fast & Furious" gave a curt answer and departed, stage right. Presser over.
Whew, I feel so much safer.
The feelings I have towards Holder are not very nice.

You're reading my mind florrie! When I heard about this supposed Iranian "plot", the first thing that I thought was that this is one more distraction.

News today is the Congressman Issa has officially issued subpoenas for Holder to produce many records, and probably to testify again.

ReplyDeleteI'm listening to the radio and just heard a sound bite of Obama saying something about a "pattern of dangerous and reckless behavior". I thought he was throwing Holder under the bus, but apparently he was referring to Iran. Or tea partiers. It's hard to tell- as he uses the same language toward conservatives that he uses for terrorists.
Unless said terrorists just happen to be someone from the neighborhood.
