Happy Birthday, Alphie!!!
Theodore left Very Important Weather Business to bring you birthday wishes. Sorry, there's no pie, but who needs it? You're still looking svelte and have such a fashion flair. Hard to believe you're 29!
Thank you everyone! I can't believe you all went and had a party without me, and didn't even save me any cake. The big day was a washout for the most part. Mrs. Alphie was going to take me out for a nice grown up dinner (without the kids) over the weekend, but of course I came down with some kind of nasty coughing aching sneezing all I want to do is got back to bed illness. Couldn't go back to bed, though as I had write a big paper (my first in many, many years) which was due on my birthday. I did manage to actually finish the paper, but spend spent my birthday tired, and either at work or in class for the most part. Mrs Alphie & the boys got me an iPhone, which is still in the box. Hopefully I'll have a chance to open it up and figure it out this weekend. Thanks again. You guys (and ladies) are the best!
Alphie, that sort of nasty cold is the stylish thing to be wearing in my neck of the world, as well.
Half the people I talk to at work are getting/having/trying to get over it. Including me, unfortunately. Mine began with a runny nose, and progressed into a hacking cough, with lots of mucous, and little sleep.
That would be awesome. Maybe I could hack up something and send it over in one of those bubble-wrap envelopes. As long as this has hung around, I'm sure it would make it.
DWT- That's pretty much what I'm getting over. Still can't believe my head is capable of producing so much gunk. Sorry to hear you (and the airforcefamily) have had it too, but also glad to know its not just me.
Wishing you a very happy day and many, many more! Love ya, Alphie!

Oh no! Sounds like Bob and Weeble were right, it wasn't a very good birthday.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel 100% soon, Alphie, and that you and Mrs. Alphie will be able to do that dinner this coming weekend.
Thanks florrie. I'm slowly recovering, so maybe we'll get to go out this weekend.
ReplyDeleteHopefully at someplace that has good pie.

DWT - we're down with it here, too. Whatever it is, I hope Ahmadinijad gets it, too.
ReplyDeleteAFW - if only he were closer to the 'Supreme Leader' prehaps they could all get it, and die a nasty, hacking, mucousy death.
ReplyDeleteThat would be awesome. Maybe I could hack up something and send it over in one of those bubble-wrap envelopes. As long as this has hung around, I'm sure it would make it.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely worth a try, afw.

ReplyDeleteThis is why I love you :-)

ReplyDeleteOh, jeez, you've been through enough health "issues" already, afw :-( Take care and hope you all feel better soon...
I'm sorry you all have been sick! The creeping crud has been making the rounds here too, but Noah and I have been lucky (knock on wood).
