Got The Bastard

We will find you, and you will die.

Today, thankfully, the United States has finally groped its way to delivering a message the Muslim world will understand.

  1. Love our special forces... You can run, you can hide - but we WILL hunt you down, even if it takes us 10 years.

I'm just grateful that nobody insisted on the alive/trial option.

  2. The body is being handled "in accordance with Islamic traditions" and will be buried that way as well.

So we're still kow-towing to the nutjobs.

You know, if that is what the majority of the families of the people killed on 9/11, on the USS Cole, Khobar towers, the US embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania and the loved ones of all our military KIA in the last 10 years want, than I'm all for it.

  3. Florrie I agree.

Now lets get the Dr from Egypt.

  4. @Florrie: The body was apparently buried at sea, "in accordance with Islamic traditions."

Nice. His grave won't attract pilgrims, and there's no way for anyone to verify that latter claim. Personally, I hope they shoved him overboard wrapped in pigskin.

  5. Pakistan protected him. Pakistan gave him up.

Wonder what kind of deal was made.

  6. 1. Obama MUST presently release unequivocal evidence as to Obama's death. An anodyne DNA report from a lab won't do it. One hopes that the corpse's fingers or ears were taken, beyond merely blood or tissue splatters. (I am being absolutely serious- the conspiracy nutters are going to have a field day with this absent "hard" proof of bin Laden's death).

    2. Whither Pak? What to do with a radicalized, nuclear-armed, failed state in which the ISI acts at will and whose expat citizens appear to have colonized swaths of England?

  7. For a start, quit sending the millions of tax-payer dollars in "aid".

My first thought, too, once the formal announcement was made.

I'm delighted OBL is dead and that his sanctuary was attacked to do get it done. If scattered web chatter is to be believed, OBL resisted and was shot down ... that's a best outcome IMO ... e.g., somebody got to shoot the mother f**ker point blank. My idea of wartime "due process."

In addition I wonder about just what took so fookin' long on a Sunday evening that Bam Bam was over an hour late to the podium, well after the news had splashed out. The MSM including Fox had done all they could to build suspense only to have the Bamster delivered as perfunctory a message as possible, while, of course taking some credit for himself.

Something about all of the herky jerky statement hoopla makes my suspicious arse itch. Given the information provided, what required Obama to do so at 10:30 PM EDT on a Sunday night. Gates could have given the post facto crap report IMO. His raid the rich and trample the oil "speculator" schtick (droned on about in his earlier weekly radio speech snippet) not getting him the attention he wanted? Wills and Kate hogging up his sun time?

Nothing Obama does is without suspicion. Nothing.

Scattered web chatter also varies on the time OBL was killed, a varying from a week ago to oh dark thirty Saturday AM Paki time. The dumped at sea bit is also puzzling ... what, the scooped up his corpse and flew out from land locked northern Pakiland to where to test the DNA and then what ... shove it out of a helicopter door over the Persian Gulf?

Uh, er ... see Lewy's 3rd sentence in his # 6 above. You can bet that there was a financial quid pro quo involved.

  10. Interesting take, Aridog. I guess we'll see what develops.

I'm glad one of our finest got to take the scum out too.

  11. I don't really understand the whole "buried at sea" stuff. Why did the Navy dump him in the drink? And are you telling me that a United States Navy crew stood by while he was getting a honorable, religious send-off to the fishes? Really?

    My suspicious arse itches too.

  12. Realize that the burial at sea, whether for good reason or not, and the lack of verifiable photographs has already started a 'he is not dead' group.

My friend in the Philippines tells me that there, people think the Obama administration faked this in order to draw attention away from the mess he is making otherwise.

Just one of many places where the population seems more aware of the situation inside the US than the normal folks here, who base all their thoughts on what our own 'free' press reports.
