She is the first child for my youngest brother and his wife - we are all ecstatic! She is simply gorgeous; I got to see her this last Thursday and she slept peacefully in my arms the whole time. I had almost forgotten about that wonderful new baby smell, how tiny they are and the overwhelming love and protectiveness that sweeps over you when you hold them.
A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.

Congratulations Auntie and Uncle! She's lovely - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI'm desperately having to remind myself of the 3 months of throwing up, 6 more months of fatigue, mood swings and limited mobility followed by 12+ months of sleep-interrupted nights because just looking at her is making me broody...
Mazal tov Auntie Florrie! You kept this quiet for a very long time! Nov. 27th? Where were the fanfares on Nov 28th? LOL!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your whole family and I wish you all lots of "nachas" - Yiddish for enjoyment, contentment, happiness - I can't really define it, but you'll know it when you meet it. Like when you hold the baby in your arms.
:X
92 hour labour? Yikes! I hope your SIL is recovering well and getting lots of rest.
ReplyDeleteYeah - 92 hours!?!?!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteBut at the end, a beautiful little girl and true joy.
92 hours is like two workweeks, or one startup-workweek. Crazy.
ReplyDeleteBut the baby is adorable!
Oooooh, congratulations! She is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh auntie florrie, she's just precious! :x
ReplyDelete92 hours of labor...wow. It's a good thing annie brought nachos; I'm ravenous just thinking about it. ;))
LOVE her! She is truly beautiful. And I want to hold her and love on her.
ReplyDeleteBut 92 hours of labor? OMG.
She is wonderful, florrie. congratulations!
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Congrats florrie. She's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat's what she told me, 92 hours. But she's young (29) and flexible, lol!
ReplyDeleteHer contractions started the Monday before; the town was experiencing a terrible snowstorm and the county closed the highway into the hospital. So we were relieved that she held on a while. Actually she held on so long she got some help along the way!
Yes, it's wonderful to have a baby in the family again :-)
One of my brother's friends gave him a hard time and said how much he liked the picture of the baby and her grandpa...
ReplyDeleteLol, luckily he has a great sense of humouuuuur.
How sweet! Congratulations Aunty florrie, she's adorable.
