  1. We have four districts in Arkansas; three seats are held by Democrats, and one by a Republican.

Three out of four voted NO. Snyder voted yes, but he's already announced his exit from politics. Ptooey. Good riddance.

The mood here is ugly. Very ugly. Mike Ross and Marion Berry (who's also retiring) are aware of it.

John Boozman, the Republican and my representative, is running for Blanche Lincoln's senate seat. He's a soft spoken guy, not one to make waves. I don't think he has a chance at the senate seat, but time will tell. There are stronger men who have thrown their hat in the ring.

Mike Ross is a blue dog. He's contemplating a run for the governorship in 2014. Voting NO on this health care monstrosity will be looked upon favorably by Arkansas voters.

  2. This huge stinking pile of legislation will be shoveled back to the Senate on Tuesday, for "fixes".

  3. From the Fox website:

"Obama will have to sign the Senate bill into law before any fixes bill goes to the Senate under rules designed to enable Democrats to pass the bill with 51 votes, thus avoiding a Republican filibuster. Democrats control 59 of the Senate's 100 seats, one vote shy of the number needed to overcome bill-killing filibusters from a united GOP.

But senators have given no guarantees they will pass the fixes, which are strictly the wishes of House Democrats.

Any reconciliation package that does get sent to the Senate is facing a block -- or at least a delay -- from Senate Republicans who will try to use "hundreds" of amendments to stop the fixes."

  6. Just thought I would take this moment to mention how much I dislike these products of California, and how good it would be if they were recalled:
Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein.

Was hoping they'd be gone with the Cash for Clunkers program, but apparently they didn't accept humans. Or whatever they are.

  7. MW, when Obama rams through amnesty, California won't have the votes to get rid of your parasites.

  8. Of course, remember that the majority of these people have voted for everything else that the Dems have done, so far.

  10. Nancy Pelosi is quite possibly the most loathed person in America. I know I'm doing my part.
