The Enemy Has Breached The Gate...

I mourn for my country.  This is (a once Great) Britain.  In the second decade of the twenty first century.  And one (of the many) reasons I no longer visit as often as I used to.  We are going in September for the sole purpose of seeing some very close relatives, otherwise I wouldn't bother.

    4. Indeed lewy, but there comes a point where despondency sets in. I am an inch away from that point.

    5. We are all "on the beach" now.

The old world is over. There's a new world beginning.

I will refer you to my meatspace twitter pinned tweet.

    6. Dang, at least us hillbillies butcher our meat in the barn! Heh.

But yeah, that's disgusting. London has been conquered by the stone age barbarians, with the rest of England to follow...if they haven't already...

  2. First they ran the private docs out of business with the EMR requirement. Now hospitals are falling by the wayside. In the meantime, the pharma companies have jacked the prices of many meds into the thousands/month as insurance companies prune the meds they will cover. See a pattern?

  3. They are consolidating. To give 'better service'. My local hospital is going to double in size over the next few years, while three small hospitals nearby are converted to essentially first aid stations.

And no, it will not give better service
