I hope everyone had a peaceful day. I went by the nursing home this morning and brought my stepdad gifts and a card. It really cheered him up. He's been a good dad to me for 35+ years.
Then I got to missing my bio dad for some reason. He abandoned the family many many years ago, and I hadn't seen him or heard from him in over 30 years when he passed away a few years back. Sad.
And, of course, I'm missing our brother/dad aridog. Sometimes these holidays are a bummer rather than a celebration. Hugs to all the orphans of TCKT. Music and wine, I say!

Dtoday was my son's first fathers' day, and my daughter in law made the public announcement that my granddaughter will be a big sister next January.
ReplyDeleteWhile it is sad that time goes by, we can celebrate the ne happiness that comes into our lives.
Oh Matt, that's wonderful news!!! You made my day! Do you know if your next grandbaby is a boy or a girl?
DeleteDon't know yet. I seem to recall that they didn't want to know ahead of time last time, but I could be wrong. You know how the memory is.
DeleteLovely news, Matt. Congratulations to your son and his wife as well as the proud grandparents ;-)
