Friday Night (Country) Music

I've been on a country music kick for the past few months.  I blame Nashville.

Here are some selections I've been listening to lately:

The Highwaymen

Johnny Cash and Kris K (Be still my heart!)
Sunday Morning Coming Down

Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard
Pancho and Lefty

Patsy (oh how I love you) Cline
Your Cheatin' Heart

Enjoy!
Or not.

  2. You, madame, have exquisite taste in country music! I love these selections! When I was first learning how to play guitar as a teenager, mumbledy-mumbledy years ago, I think I played every song Kris wrote. I had all of his albums up to the time he married Rita Coolidge (the general consensus among the musicians on the front porch was that she ruint him...ruint him! I, as an impressionable novice, of course nodded solemnly in agreement). :))

The Hag and Patsy are two of my eternal favorites, and I adore Willie. And Waylon. And Hank! I actually got to meet Waylon and his wife? girlfriend? roadie? back in the early seventies; my little sister was besties with Waylon's niece. I can remember the name of my sis's friend, but I'm not sure of the woman's name. It was TDLA. (too damn long ago!). lol
