Obama sits at the pinnacle of the American caste...
Blatant falsehood. Obama is the 21st century version of what was once pejoratively called a "house nigger" to the ruling cognoscenti and financial manipulators. He rose only becasue he was a useful tool, as then Senator Biden said: "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,"... "I mean, that's a storybook, man." That remark itself was a blatant falsehood as well, and an insult to African Americans per se.
Our government today is more and more made up of stooges who really couldn't succeed anywhere else, and thus need the "Caste" for their sustenance. We have morons running DC and nothing shouts it out more than the PPACA roll out. And do you know why the "roll out" was so pis poor? Because it was built with shabby instructions and objectives written by near illiterates then contracted out (privatized) to a defense contractor who in turn sub-contracted multiple layers down to the eventual lowest of low bidders. Voilà'! Guess who benefited by all this IT contracting? Guess how yee f'ing gawd Genral Dynamics got the contract for the Obamacare Call Center?
So, yes, the article seems pretty accurate for the most part of its theme. It should terrify us.
Here is a reason why: We are becoming a global village ... Hard power is a relic.
That last phrase is total bullshit, because hard power will always be contested for and acquired by some to lord over others. When you give up hard power, your are surrendering. China is not giving it up, it is growing it daily, with more territorial claims, more ships, tanks, rockets, and the largest standing army in the world, bar none. Anyone who feels good about that is untutored at best.
Then we have: Low wages boost productivity. More total nonsense. Someone should have told Henry Ford that he was doing it all wrong.
The people who run stuff are not idiots. They have seen one wing (and it is only one wing) of their not-so-secret society overextend itself and, frankly, delude itself. There will be an internal reckoning.
That reckoning is starting now. And it could well be that the next President has an (R) after his name. But that's all it will be, just a letter.
As Dances said, We The People are ourselves just a name in which sovereign power is claimed. Over us, not for us, or of us.
I must not have been clear. I do NOT think the "Caste" is incompetent or stupid. Quite the opposite as you have said yourself.
That said, the "Caste" selects and supports key leadership government people who need them, not for people that are individually or as a group competent in their own right. The government per se is filled with stooges not powerful minds or even independently successful people. I hesitate to say that because I was part of it myself at the military then civil service level myself. I witnessed the mendacity and outright ignorance of the senior policy making procedure defining executives of the SES and higher, now even reaching down in to the GS-15 grade of civil service. I cannot distrust my "lying eyes" if you will...and the roll out of the PPACA is a perfect example of what I am talking about. Absolute incompetence with what is it; 16% or more of the economy?
To be clear, I am totally convinced that Obama is a stooge and everyone he has hired,, and everyone they have hired, is a stooge. A significant part of this"hiring" is merely retaining institutionalized morons and idiots from administration to administration. ALL of these positions are appointed positions, not a one is civil service per se. NONE of these fools actually do anything they are not directed to do by their sponsors. Not one damn one of them....including the Dupe in Chief Obbamessiah.
If a new reckoning and administration is to make a whits difference it will have to cull well over 50% of every government bureaucrat over the grade GS-15...e.g., cull 50 to 75% of the SES and above. Anything less will leave them with what we have...a village of idiots on the Potomac.
An example of how good ideas are suppressed and bad ones sponsored by "the Caste" is this simple question: Has anyone in media, right or left, even mentioned HR 3319? With all the screaming from the left and right about health care alternatives, why is that? Any politicians talking about it? It was originally a Democrat proposal nearly a decade ago? Frankly, why was it not vetted and examined closely before the village of idiots set out to create a whole new system when they already had one that has worked systematically for over 50 years?
Answer is very simple:much more money to be made on all corporate and investor sides, except policy holders, by design anew. Why, sob...sniffle...whimper...General Dynamics might not have gotten the "Call Center" contract for Obamacare. The horror....
