Loved it. Let's raise some Cain!!!

I dunno, Matt. He's a pretty tough guy. And let's face it, Palin is handing the press their a$$es right now.

  4. True, Florrie, and I love it. But neither one has won any primaries yet.

  5. I'm hoping Palin does not run for president, Matt. But I love her pushing the MSM's buttons!

Who knows, our nominee could be someone we aren't even considering. But you're right, the press will be behind the JEM and tear up the repub nominee.

  6. Shocka! Over the past few months I've grown less antagonistic regarding Sarah Palin. She seems to have shucked the Alaska Hillbilly schtick and vernacular, and more importantly, ceased just making stuff up to go with the schtick. I hope she sticks to the new her.

At least now I am willing to listen to what she says and want to know more about just how she'd propose returning America to sanity in governance.

As for her wildlife attitudes, it is hopeless, just as the pseudo-liberal assholes in the Obama administration are hopeless on the subject ... they're even more obscene on wildlife than Bush or Clinton's stiffs ... who were plain ignorant. I can't make wildlife my determining factor anymore....on that, they're all untutored whores of the first rank.

In short, if she runs and is nominated, I will vote for her. Period. That's something a month or so ago I swore I would not do. She's playing her cards far better now and I'm more inclined to trust her intentions.

It certainly would be better for her to not run in financial terms (I mean really) .... and she is now a phenomenal gadfly nipping at the opposition hides, especially the negative press. I love it. I noticed she apparently has better advisors now...she dropped the references to "lame stream media" in this weeks interviews. Good ... that's one overworked cliche'.

If she remains in cheerleader mode, I will support her. The Republican "stiffs" (Trump's term) so far need all the help they can get.

Trump pissed me off with his 3rd party implication yesterday ... memo to the Donald, if you want to run, even with a late start, do it as a Republican not a god damned RINO prick.

Now Cain, I generally like, but he loses me on the "Fair Tax" advocacy, which is lunacy as much or more so than the current hive of tax codes and fee schedules. It could never get through any Congress anyway, but just his favoring of it gives me pause.

Allen West appeals to me more than anyone else so far, but it might be too soon for him to chance a losing run and Uncle Tom assignations by the opposition. He might be better off with a good Congressional record and run against a Democrat stiff in 2016. Of course, I am biased toward his military background.

Now if General McCrystal would run .... HOOAH!!

  7. I think I may faint... :))

I agree that Palin has gained a bit of polish, and I absolutely love the "press" bitching and moaning about her bus tour. I was also impressed with her riding into DC with Rolling Thunder; she looked tough but comfortable in her own skin straddling that bike. She "gets it". She also appeared relaxed with The Donald; most of us would be nervous having lunch with him, but not Palin.

All that being said, I hope that she doesn't run. She's winning major battles doing what she's doing, making the press look like the idiots they are and rescuing the repub party from the deep end of the pool. She will be fierce campaigner for the repub nominee.

  8. *sits up slowly, rubbing eyes*

Aridog, if you're going to post things like that, they really need a "sit before reading" warning... :-)

Sarah Palin (and others like West and Ryan, in conjunction with alternate media sources) is bringing back to the conservative side something that has been catastrophic in its loss - the will to fight, to not simply roll over when the screeching starts. The whole stupidity that made Dan Quayle a laughingstock still makes me angry, as does the fact that Bush didn't find a way to make his case early and often, instead allowing the other side to shape the message and turn good people/ideas into caricatures.

It's not about "becoming like them" whatever that's supposed to mean, but it is about making your case, not shying away from the fight and the misrepresentation you know you'll encounter. For too long, we've tried to "play nice" somehow not realizing that we weren't being nice, we were doormats. You don't have to play dirty to win, but you do have to play to win, and I'm very grateful that people are emerging who understand that.

  10. Lyana and Florrie, LMAO!!!

I agree with your assessment of what's been lost, Lyana. It's wonderful to see West, Palin and others standing tall and letting the BS bounce off of them.

  11. Lady Red, Lyana, et al...

I believe it is important to be able to listen. Listen and think, and when appropriate, to change one's mind....at the least, moderate an opinion. For me, the day I lose that capability I'll no longer respect myself.

But I'll warn all y'all next time :D
