Some Things Remain True

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.

The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.

No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.

  1. Truly, nothing has changed in Islam since Churchill wrote these words.

  2. And welcome home to me after spending the week in Halifax and being sat on a plane next to a female in full face veil and head to toe covering and her husband.

I was VERY suspicious, they were a very young couple. Turns out they originally sat themselves in the wrong seats and ended up in the exit rows. When the flight attendant discovered that the veiled one didn't speak English she basically had to evict them from their seats. And, oooo, lucky me, they ended up sitting next to me.

I spent the entire flight looking at their every move and was ready to scream, shout, fight, if I saw anything untoward.

  3. Was I ever surprised to see the attribute to Churchill at the bottom. Thank you for posting this, Fay.

    Will we ever learn?

And to think BO sent the bust of this great man back to Great Britain. For shame.

Missed ya around here, I figured you were on the road. Glad your seatmates behaved. Oooh, I guess I'm a racist.

  4. To be fair, it was just on loan after 9/11 but when the Brits kindly offered to let the new prez have it for 4 more years he said "no thanks".

I remember thinking at the time, "how dare he"

  6. No wonder British schools no longer teach about Churchill. Can't have anyone learning the truth, er, hearing such bigotry today.

Unfortunately, things have changed, though not in islam.

They now have trillons of dollars of western money to spend on violent 'proselytizing' with modern weapons & technologies which they were (and remain) utterly incapable of making themselves.

And they have a western foe which has lost all idea of self-worth, both of themselves and their culture, and has succumbed to the debilitating diseases of multiculturalism, societal cowardice, and ennui.
