A lot of politicians give nicknames to their aides. George W. Bush famously referred to his attorney general, Alberto Gonzalez, as “Fredo.” Mitch Daniels, then head of the Office of Management and Budget, was known as “The Blade.” Barack Obama reportedly called Larry Summers, his chief economic advisor, “Dr. Kevorkian.”
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas also hands out nicknames to the people who work for her. The Houston Democrat addressed one of her employees as “you stupid motherf*****.” And not just once, but “constantly,” recalls the staffer, “like, all the time.”
But, but, but, she CARES about her constituents!!
Historically-and geographically challenged, she still gives it the ol' college, er, elementary school try ~
We want a @#$%^&* tornado and we want it @#$%^&* now!
To clear the palate before you forge ahead - a counterpoint ~
She's such a lady. Well, a woman anyway...
Some of the above stolen from The People's Cube
I thought we could use some comic relief other than the winning, tiger-blood variety...

From Nat'l Review, 2002:
ReplyDeleteFive years ago, Rep. Jackson Lee made news during a subcommittee briefing when she asked a NASA scientist if the Mars Pathfinder had photographed the flag that Neil Armstrong had left behind. The flag was, of course, planted on the moon.
Lee is an embarrassment. It's no wonder our system is so effed up.
