NEW MILFORD--Preston Hanlon, 27, of New Milford, was charged Tuesday afternoon with first-degree robbery, with other charges pending, after he allegedly took $2,200 at gunpoint from the Webster Bank branch on the Village Green and then took a public bus to his home on the Danbury Road, where police later waited five hours before he surrendered to them at approximately 3 p.m.

Damn funny story. And yet damn sad at the same time... I mean, hell. We can't even raise decent crooks anymore. :)

ReplyDeleteWhen I drove a bus in Seattle, I once got pulled over. Turns out the guy who ran onto the bus at my last stop had just snatched somebodies purse. Until I knew that i was wondering "What did I do?"
