  1. Loved it! I didn't know there was a "Dino's Song", it's perfect, Matt! I'll play it again Tuesday night after he wins :-)

(no, I hadn't heard of this one before either) :-/

  2. LOL, Florrie! I didn't even think of THAT Dino. But yeah, he, and we, will sure have a party Tuesday after he wins.

"Dino's Song" is named after its writer, Dino Vallenti (who also wrote "Fresh Air."

  5. Hmmm... I haven't heard this one before. Thanks for the intro, Matt.

Although I'm not that familiar with the band, I know the other song, Fresh Air, quite well as it has enjoyed somewhat regular play on the local classic rock station over the years.

  6. They also recorded a Hamilton Camp song, "Pride of Man," which I also like. I have their first album on CD. There is some good stuff on it if you are into '60's psychedelic music.

And this from a guy who only inhaled once and avoided the rest of the stuff like the plague.

I do like it... from time to time. For some reason I've found myself finding and enjoying more 60s- 70s music as I get older. Maybe it's because I completely missed out in that era and am just now catching up... or maybe it's just because most of today's music is total crap.

Anyhow, I'll have to check it out (in the morning).

Not ALL of it!!! Most of it, yes. A lot of it. Okay, like, 99.99% of it. But some of it is worth listening to.

And speaking of worth listening - not new, but one of my all time favorite albums is the soundtrack to Fifty First Dates. I LOVE it. The only real problem with it is that they don't include the best of the songs - Israel Kamakawiwo'ole singing Over the Rainbow. I got that separately on iTunes and it's a favorite for family car rides.

SRSLY people, if you haven't heard it, totally check it out. It just makes the day better. Really good for crap days. REALLY good.

Okay, I just checked out the track listing... it looks like all of the songs are covers of 80s tunes. I know- and like- a lot of the original recordings, but don't think I've heard any of the cover versions. Hmmm... I'll have to see if I can hear some samples on Amazon.
