Harry Reid Has To Hide Behind The Military To Pass His Amnesty Bill

In a blatant, and desperate attempt to garner more hispanic votes in his death struggle with Sharon Angle, Harry Reid has added the oft-rejected DREAM Act as a rider to the 2011 defense Approppriation Bill.

This has been tried in the past, and always rejected, but the Dems are holding on by their fingernails, this time, so any Hispanic vote, legal or not is urgently being sought.

  1. What a disgusting piece of trash that guy is.

  2. Yep. He's downright despicable. Nevada's unemployment rate rose again today; at this point, I think a slot machine has a better chance of being elected than Dingy Harry.

I'm not a huge Angle fan, but I hope she wins in a freakin' landslide. ANYONE is better than that slimeball.

  3. I feel the same way about O'Donnell. She may be a bit whacky, but I'd vote for her in a Delaware minute before I'd pull the handle for that incompetent, oily, über progressive Coons.

A little witchcraft doesn't scare me, no sir!

/crossing myself and turning on all the lights in the house...:p

  4. Isn't it funny that Dems seem to say it is better to be a Dem who never grew up than to be a Republican who did?

  5. Heh. I like the way you phrased that, Matt. It's not just the Dems though; it's the whole entrenched gaggle of geese occupying our Capitol. Whether they have a D, R, or I behind their name, they waddle around Washington honking incessantly, pecking at anyone who disturbs their afternoon in the sun, and crapping all over any semblance of ethics, morality, honesty, or integrity.

    It's seriously stomach-turning.

  6. Very well-said, lady red. You too, Matt, I couldn't agree more. I'm sick of the lot of them. That's why I can't wait for DWTS!

  7. The Republicans are so funny, when the economy is good you say let’s all celebrate “Cinco de Mayo, my brothers” but when the economy is down “it’s all your fault, you damn immigrant”. When most Americans (with Latin America roots) go to the polls this November we will remember that the GOP has gone on a nationwide rant in proposing and passing several anti-immigration legislation (that our US Courts continue to strike down) and have continue to blame the immigrant for the flat economy or worse. We will remember who stands with us and who stands against us, so trying to stop it now is somewhat funny, but go ahead, you will not change our minds. Plus the more radical of the GOP are now attacking our Constitution and our Bill of Rights, in a misguided attempt to garner some much needed votes, they really are fools, and leading the GOP towards obscurity because they are no longer a party of ideas, just of empty suits. Your hate made you do it, in November; you will reap what you have sown. I wonder what Abraham Lincoln would say about todays GOP, he unlike the current GOP was a man of ideas.

  8. Republicans are not against immigration. Republicans are against illegal immigration. What part of the word "illegal" do you not understand?

Many of the Mexicans who spent the time and the money to go through the proper procedure to enter the country legally are also against the illegal immigrants, and those who aren't should be.

And if you were to look back, most Republicans who are against illegal immigration now were also against it when the economy was good. Also, the subject of illegal immigrant applies to those from any country and of any ethnicity. Proximity makes Mexican's make up a large proportion of the total.

If amnesty is such a good idea, then why isn't Reid sponsoring a stand-alone bill? The Democrats still have both houses and the White House, so there would be no problem in getting it passed. The reason he doesn't do it that way is because he knows that anyone who votes for it would be heading for the unemployment line after the November election.

By the way, just how would an American entering Mexico illegally fare at the hands of the Mexican government?

  9. Well Matt, that's the typical liberal straw man argument, it's all they have, to say we're against immigration. They also like to compare the conservative viewpoint with immigration policy from 100+ years ago...as if that had any relevance to the issue today. Like you say, they always seem to forget that teensy, weensy, word - ILLEGAL.

#9 - We are a sovereign country; i.e., we get to decide who can live or work here.

So give your tired stereotyping a rest, it's breath-takingly trite.

Of course, if I lived in Mexico I'd want to get the hell out of there too. I see that a leading newspaper there is now asking the drug cartel to give them guidelines as to how journalists should treat them/report the news.

Oh, but wait. That's our fault too because we are the ones taking the drugs! (Another convincing argument, that one, lol.)

  10. I would like to know Benito's view on the National Council of La Raza (the Race).

Is it okay in your view for YOUR people to organize on the basis of race and to advocate in public for policies that advance the interests of your race, such as immigration?

    If not, why not?

If it is okay, then do you accept that I have the same right in that regard as you? (I am European-American).

  11. I'm married to an immigrant.

Just saying. There's some massive stereotyping going on up there.

  12. I'm married to an immigrant.

    So am I. Teehee.

  13. Wait, Fay. Aren't YOU an immigrant, too?

This place is swarming with them! And (except for my husband, who comes from the country with the most revolting food on earth bar none except Lutefisk) all these immigrants better have brought some food, too.

My craving for a real honest-to-Elizabeth II trifle has only gotten worse with time. And come to think of it, I'm fiending for enchiladas like no one's business.

  14. Wait, Fay. Aren't YOU an immigrant, too?

Why, yes, I am. What has happened to this place...who let all these immigrants in FFS...

And, yes, I did bring trifle (sorry, no pic) and Yorkshire pudding. Mmm that's the ticket!

  16. Yes, all the immmigrants and furreners are invited for Canadian Thanksgiving on October 11.

Being Canadian means never having to wait 'til November for Turkey Day!

    Behave.

You definitely should do that. I can no longer vote the choice between a rancid turd and a noisy bit of flatulence...or slimy versus stupid. If I was in Delaware I'd skip the election entirely.

All of the best intentions of the original Tea Party movement,(which I agree with) a collaboration really, will be diminished if O'Donnell wins....she is hysterically unfit for any public office and everyone on both sides know it. Witless gutless twit didn't last a week before she was canceling public appearances other candidates would kill to go on.

If THAT piece of work is "the New Tea Party" it is hopeless.

  19. Fay - LMAO @16!

Really - out loud and everything! Ike was very perplexed at the noise.
