The Price Of Stupid Decisions

Rachel Corrie's ghost is still haunting the front page at CNN:  Parents demand answers from Israel in bulldozer death.    Groan....

Corrie's parents want to know the truth about their daughter's death, whether the killing was intentional and who is accountable.
Craig and Cindy Corrie's civil suit against Israel's defense ministry starts in Haifa, Israel, on Wednesday -- a court date that took years to reach.
"The more we found out, the more likely that the killing was intentional, or at least incredibly reckless," Craig Corrie said. "And, as a former soldier, I was even in charge of bulldozers in Vietnam... You're responsible to know what's in front of that blade, and I believe that they did."
The Israeli military carried out a month-long investigation, which found no Israeli soldier was to blame.

I'm sorry the Corrie family lost their daughter.  Perhaps they should have pounded a bit of common sense into her head before shoving her out of the nest.  Let her rest in peace.

As for CNN,  the sad little story of parents refusing to assign responsibility for a preventable accident where it belongs, with the daughter, is too juicy to pass up.  Blame the Jews, Headline News!

This story panders to the readership of CNN online, and their thirst for meat-and-potatoes journalism:

  1. CNN's "most popular stories" would be left on the editing room floor at the National Enquirer, FFS.

MSNBC is worse, and Fox is getting there.

  5. lewy - I'm hateful right now. I'll own it.

As soon as this contest is over, I'm all about settling down into a more manageable weight program! One that allows fresh chips and salsa with guac every once in awhile.

(today I had to sit and watch people eat that stuff while I abstained. Oh, the mood was bad! Good thing I did a kickboxing class today or there would have been physical injury - and not to me)

  6. today I had to sit and watch people eat that stuff...

I'm doing physical therapy (for a couple of minor but stubborn injuries) and for some reason the goddam Food Network is always on the TV.

All these folks on the treadmill or elliptical or the bike, watching Anthony Bourdain travel around and eat awesome food.

Maybe the rest of television is so bad, this is the least painful option. Could be...
