Lest we forget

Y'all may have seen this already but if not, here's some pictures from the NYPD helicopter unit circling the towers on 9/11. Photos only came to life because of FOIA. And ain't that a damn shame. Again, even though I saw them on the originators site... here's Weasel with a more compact version.

  1. I don't care what it makes me, but I'll hate these motherfuckers for the rest of my life. I'm ass full of excuses for what happened that day and tired of them. Take that as you will.

  2. As I slowly looked through these pictures I realized that a part of me is still screaming in anger and disbelief.

How can any of us ever forget?

  3. If we forget we're lost. Our brains are still ruled by evolutionary tribal, or even group, allegiance. The allegiance that most of us here have is America. As it should be in my opinion. And if that means a big 'fuck you' to the rest of the world then so be it. Let's boogie.

  4. Whoa, very powerful.

Hard to believe it's been 8 1/2 years. It still makes me nauseous.

  5. Last week it popped into my head, those old stories about the WTC and Pentagon being on the dollar bill. I wondered if it were true, and if so I wanted to know how to fold the dollar to show it. So I googled it. And danged if this isn't the weirdest thing I've seen in a long time - the $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 notes tell the 9/11 story, in chronological order no less. Very odd. And it wasn't something you had to squint to see either. Just....there it was!
Here's the page I looked at to get instructions on how to fold the currency to see these pictures.
Oh, and it wasn't the $1...it was so long ago that I was under the impression that it was ONLY on the $1, and turns out it's on all the others.
Has everyone already seen this (I know everyone heard about it)? I am thinking I must be the only person left in the US that didn't try this trick or see photos of it years ago.
