Years ago I had a friend whose father was a somewhat controversial high ranking officer with the San Francisco Police Department. One evening I was talking to my friend on the phone and we heard a

Jokingly I asked my friend, "What was that?"
He replied, "Oh that was the FBI."

Neither one of us said anything for a second. We thought we were joking, but the realization that we may not have been was a bit sobering.
Now we move ahead forty plus years to today. We have a someone in the White House who barely came out of his basement to campaign two years ago and had trouble filling a phone booth with supporters when he did; a candidate who was trailing in many states when counting closed for the night but was magically ahead when counting resumed in the morning yet somehow received more votes than anyone else in history -- beating an opponent who also received more votes than anyone else had previously received.
Since 2016 the FBI investigated how Donald Trump had colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election, basing the investigation on information they knew to be untrue.
The FBI falsified documents to get FISA warrants.
The FBI lied to an associate of President Trump, telling him he did not need an attorney because it was an informal interview. They were just looking for information, but when that person gave off-the-top-of-his-head answers (and the FBI manufactured paperwork after the fact), he was prosecuted for lying to the FBI and was told that if he did not plead guilty his son would face criminal charges.
Officials of the FBI communicated their intention to stop a Trump Presidency -- the same FBI that took it upon itself to not pursue charges against Hillary Clinton after the Attorney General had a secret meeting with Bill Clinton.
Now the FBI gets a search warrant for the home of a former President. They refused to allow Trump attorneys to keep a copy of the warrant. The FBI told Trump associates to turn off security cameras so the FBI cannot be recorded while they conduct their search. Once it as discovered that the cameras were not turned off the FBI demanded the recordings. They broke open a safe that turned out to be empty. They spent a great deal of time searching through the wardrobe of Mrs. Trump.
The FBI did not intend to cause a "political fiasco." No, their intention was to silence political opposition. |
"Oh, but the FBI had to have evidence and get a judge to sign off on the warrant." Yeah, a judge who made campaign contributions to Barack Obama; a judge who has a social media history of anti-Trump remarks.
How many times have we seen photos of the "Patriot Front" at conservative rallies with people wearing the same color shorts, shirts, and sunglasses that look nothing like the average Joe but look suspiciously like planted FBI agents. In one case one such individual had a bullhorn marked "FBI."
Nothing suspicious here, folks. Move along. |
Today there supposedly was a shooting of an FBI office in Ohio. I am not sure how this will go, but I am guessing that the shooter will evade capture if he is an FBI plant or won't be identified if he is a left-wing agitator. If, by some small chance, he turns out to be a conservative, that will be used to show that the government is right to crack down on right-wing extremism. You remember how often we were told not to judge all Muslims for the violent actions of one, even if many other Muslims were in the streets celebrating that violence? Well, forget about it. The FBI director has called threats "deplorable and dangerous." The same people who did little as cities burned two years ago suddenly have their knickers in a knot that people are unhappy. Better send armed guard to school board meetings to silence people who are unhappy about their daughters being raped.
Congress does not need to question Merrick Garland about this raid on Mar-A-Lago raid. To save time, I could go to Washington tomorrow and testify in his place. I know the drill:
I have no information about that.
I do not know the answer to that question.
I cannot comment on an ongoing investigation.
Many people are saying that we should not overreact. I understand that. But even if we meekly submit we will still be seen as dangerous. We should bide our time and make our voices heard at the ballot box in November. We need to watch locations where ballots are collected or counted. Take video of everyone and everything entering those locations.
Conservatism should win in November. When that happens we will still hear the groaning and gnashing of teeth about how the election was stolen and how a chill has taken over the country.
We need to obey the law. We just need to make sure that the real insurrectionists on the left do as well.
