Twelve Thousand

You can run but you can't hide.

"SpaceX got the green light this week from US authorities to put a constellation of nearly 12,000 satellites into orbit in order to boost cheap, wireless internet access by the 2020s."

  1. Thanks for posting lr - there is actually something pretty smart about the way they're doing this.

Small, low orbiting satellites are inherently short lived. They will run out of boost fuel, their orbit will decay, and they will burn up harmlessly (being small.) Win-win.

Dead satellites hogging prime orbital real estate are a genuine problem. Good to see they are thinking ahead.

  2. OK. 'Help me, help me!' to misquote the original 'The Fly' movie.

HOW do I get back to a 2 year old post? Specifically the one where my sister passed away.

I have something I need to add to that

    1. I usually search for a word that is as unique says possible to that post. Or, if you know when you posted it you can look through the archive that covers that date.
