My cup name at Starbucks today was...FATE!
HTF the serverpersonworkingthetillwhoimsupposedtotip heard FATE when I said FAY is completely effing beyond my com pre hen sion.
I can't even remember the last time I was in a Starbucks before today but we needed to waste 30 minutes and it was the only available space (Latte was awful BTW).
Who did she think I was, the Virgin, the Mother or the Crone?
I am, Fay.
ReplyDeleteOf the Fates!
Bwahaha.
Are there a lot of women named "Fate" in your town?
DeleteMaybe next time they'll get it right and put "Magic Fayre" on your cup. :))
Are there a lot of women named "Fate" in your town?
DeleteNo. Just me, I'm a special snowflake.
Perhaps y'all are already aware of this info and forgive the intrusion, but as I couldn't find anyone's email I'll leave this here. This is from a commenter at another blog I frequent.
ReplyDelete..." I have kept in touch w/ Aridog's girlfriend and daughter after meeting them @ Richard's funeral. They are having a burial ceremony @ Arlington National Cemetery on 11/10/16 @ 1p."
If anyone is interested in attending I'll try and contact this person for more information.
Hope all is well with all of you and I can't wait for this damn election to be over, even if it does end up sending me into catatonic depression.
Luther
Hi Luther! Thanks for the info. It's good to see you.
DeleteNo depression now, Luther. These horrific candidates aren't worth it!
DeleteI'm glad to see you, and thanks for the reminder about Aridog's Arlington ceremony. (I still can't get used to the idea that he's gone). I wish I could attend.
Hi, Lady Red. Hi, Florrie. Yep, was just cleaning up some old emails and ran across some exchanges between Ari and I. He was a good guy.
DeleteGood to see the both of you, too. Well, flo, if not depressed at the election, sorta am at my age... 69 yesterday. Shit, how did that happen. :-)
Happy Birthday, Luther! Hope it was a good day for you.
DeleteHappy Birthday Luther! 69 is the new 29. We insist. :))

ReplyDeleteMatt - awesome! I love this. It's kinda... intense... ;)
DeleteWhen I produce my great American indie noir thriller, this is going in the sound track.
Ha! I see what you did there Matthew.
DeleteAlthough we both like Starbucks coffee, they're such lib tools that we go anywhere else when possible.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I've been tempted to go there and say my name is "Queen of the Universe", "Honkey", "Yabba Dabba Doo" - I mean, the possibilities are endless!
Sheesh, where did they get the "T", Fay? And these are the people they wanted to chat up their coffee customers about race relations?
