There are certain times when I really enjoyed almost everything I heard on the radio.
Late 1975.
Summer 1983.
Spring-summer 1997.
From that time is a song from a somewhat-boy band called Savage Garden. I have always found this song to be haunting and touching.
I know they had other records that were bigger hits, but I never really paid attention to them. This one, however, I just can't hear enough. A perfect production that hits an emotional nerve.
I finally had time to quietly listen to this song. I like the music very much, and the lyrics really do tug at the emotions.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this Matt; it's something I hadn't heard before.
Apropos of absolutely nothing...
ReplyDeleteOn my homepage there is a google ad that reads: Transvaginal Mesh Lawsuit: Injuries linked to mesh and sling products. Then there is a phone number and website addy for some law office.
I. Will. Not. Google. "Transvaginal Mesh". You just can't make me. :-o
I had forgotten about this song. Thanks for the reminder, I really enjoyed listening to it again.

ReplyDeleteGet afw, she'll do it!
And on that lovely note I will bid farewell until next Friday. Providing of course that I don't melt when I'm in Dallas...
ReplyDeleteYes, I second afw, she can let us know all about it!!
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip, Fay, we'll look for you on Friday...
And about the song, I never heard of this group, Matt. I enjoyed it, the lead singer's style reminded me of a male Stevie Nicks.
