Most of the 11 people who told the Journal Sentinel they were attacked or witnessed the attacks on their friends said that police did not take their complaints seriously. They each said police responded to the scene quickly and tended to the injured, but officers did not take statements from them and told them to leave the area.
Another of those phenomena for which we're browbeaten not to comment. Conditioned, after the last fifty or so years to ignore. Truth will out in the end, though it may be too late by then.
Methinks that a .40cal semi hollow point deterrent delivered by one of Messrs. Smith and Wesson's finest products might have proven to be most efficacious in such a situation.
