Bye Bye Blago
Poor Blago. A jury has convicted the Illinois Sad Sack on 17 of 22 counts. Will they lock him up and throw away the key? Will he skip the country and live on the lam with the millions he stashed in an offshore account? Was he smart enough to stash away millions? Can he even spell the word "million"?

Quite apart from his being a stupid, mouthy, sleazy grifter, two brief comments:
ReplyDelete1. His hair should be considered a felony offence against Good Taste; and
2. When will someone connect the dots between Blago's machine and Obama?- and will Obama pardon him if re-elected post-'12?
Not that Obama has a chance now, but he really won't have a chance if he make Blago cool his heals in prison until after the next election.

I wouldn't bet against Obama's machine politics skills.

Recall: Blago and Obama both started from nowhere. Obama's in the white house. Blago's in jail.
So I'd have to say the even money odds are that Obama will play Blago "just right"... and what "just right" is, we don't know exactly, since we don't have the whole story, and may never.
