All Bumps, No Road

Mark Steyn does it again.

But I notice that, under the always-excellent sarcastic wordplay, there is a bitterness, and even anger, emerging which I do not remember seeing before.

Perhaps Mark is seeing that what he believed was his (and western civilizations) sanctuary from islam-ridden Eurosocialism, is sliding far more rapidly down the slope to Hell than he ever thought it would?

Or maybe I'm just projecting.

  1. You're not projecting. Mark sounds as depressed and cynical as me. It just took him longer to get to this point, as, after all, I have a good bit of age, and ultimately, experience on him. But, lets put intellect to the side for the moment. As that is what Mark has versus my 'experience'. :)

I'm very adverse to saying this particular moment in time is portentous. For obvious reasons. As every moment in time is portentous for those who are living it, from the very beginning of conscious thought. But yet. It would seem as if we are heading to hell in a hand basket, pretensions aside.

I really don't understand how the leftist progressives think they can make something good out of all this. Unless, as in the past, they kill all who differ and/or bear witness to the evilness of their ideal.

  2. Depressing but Mark nails it on the head. I hope, HOPE, people are getting concerned about this.
