  1. Be vewy vewy cawefuw. I'm hunting dat waskley indifdel.

Guy had the misfortune to challenge someone who know history and is more than willing to quote it.

I had not had a chance to watch that earlier. Thank you for posting it here, Florrie.

    "You attacked US."

The nerve of that CAIR guy to stand there and basically try and say, "Hey, just because that has been the history of Islam for most of its existence is no reason to say we want to kill people."

  2. I only wish we had a feed that would allow us to hear what the colonel was saying through all the cheers.

  3. I live in a Muslim Arabic community and I can tell you absolutely, CAIR serves NO ONE except themselves. They can be relied upon to seize any opportunity to aggrandize themselves, frequently on subjects the local community could care less about. They are not above *creating* opportunities to bluster from thin air.

The spurious question asked here about where in the Koran it cites "attacking America" is quite typical. When CAIR seeks to defend challenges to idiocy and violence, they grow patently literal. When they seek to incite and justify some idiocy and violence, why by golly, then it is all about interpretation, usually near mystical.

Come to think of it, CAIR has much in common with Obama and executive branch leaders ... they do NOT know when to just STFU. Let me site the diplomatic (NOT) handling of Honduras, Egypt, and now Libya, just to name a few. Dang ... a cricket farts twice daily in Cairo and up pops Obama or Hillary with an inane remark.

They remind me of that old (1970's) monkey toy that went berserk screeching and banging cymbals every couple minutes .. but otherwise did NOTHING.

  5. My favorite line, Allen West to Nemer Hamze:

""Don't try to blow sunshine up my butt!""

    =))

  6. We have a dearth of leaders in this country. The politicians are so wishy-washy they make me physical ill with their pandering and their puling.

Finally, in Allen West, we have a real MAN who is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in, come hell or high water. This guy wouldn't bow to some stinky-ass mullah, and he wouldn't be taking his marching orders from the f*cking union, either (if he were our President).

  7. The electoral loss of Tom Tancredo set back the non-idiotarian cause, but perhaps West can fill his shoes.

In many respects, Islam is remarkably simple to understand- all of the belief system's key theoretical bases are readily available, translated into English, and there is any amount of competent history that traces Islam's evolution. All it takes is a bit of perseverance (and the setting aside of Judenhass/West-hatred/cultural self-loathing/cultural relativism) and anyone can be a competent analyst of Islam.

  8. Lady Red # 6 ... come to think of it, CAIR and Unions today have much in common, too. Leadership ranks in both serve their own interests before any of their constituencies. Both have ceased to reflect their original purpose. Both lie and use scare tactics to persuade their own memberships, and influence political parties.

My fear for Allen West is that he is too real, that being too honest could make him unelectable nationally. We've got a lot to reclaim in our politics and we have to suppress the screaming idiots who also seek self promotion and service, on our side as well as the opposition ... the very thing that has wholly wrecked the Democratic Party and made unionism a dirty word generally.

Teachers and various *service* workers are a far cry (actually laughable) from coal miners, iron workers, steel & foundry workers, assembly line workers,et al ... and I can say that because I have worked in both fields: real labor (factory skilled trades) and *service* (as a Fed).

If West were running for President today, I'd vote for him, as would my better half.

  9. Earl # 7 ... any one wants a copy of an English Koran, just holler ... I get a new one free almost every year. IMF! (In'shallah Mo'F'er) :D :-o

  10. @#9 Ari:

Thanks for that very gracious and generous offer. But I'm down to my last three copies, so must gratefully decline ;)

(In all seriousness- which translations of the Korn find favour with the denizens of Hizb'ullahstan, MI? I'm curiuous.)

  11. Earl # 10 ....

Not authoritavive mind you, but the one that most frequently arrives at my door/mailbox annually is "The Quran" translated by Dr. Syed Vickar Ahamed published by "The Book of Signs Foundation", with translation "approved" by Pusat Islam, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

  12. And ... for Lady Red ... I watched and listened to Glenn Beck this afternoon and have changed my mind, dweeb extraordinary or not, he broaches the right topics. Today he spoke at length about Israel and questioned why our government is still bashing the sole democracy of merit in the entire region, which "entreating" Libya to be "nice?"

We say "settlements" in Israel are "illegitimate" (verbatim by Hillary this week) but barely criticize the mercenary slaughter of innocents in Libya? (In eastern Libya, per the BBC, the mercenaries have lost and managed to arm the civilian revolutionaries in the process of abandonment. Hey, money will only buy you so much, eh?)

  13. Aridog, sometimes Beck gets a little preachy for my taste, but he has a knack at cutting through the media BS and getting to the root of an issue. :)

  15. "Our government" is at the present time and in my opinion, actively seeking to make the US of A an equal opportunity player in the world. We're all the same.

I don't agree with that presumption and never will. The details, right now, are written by those who wish to confuse us, to weaken us. And they are succeeding, so far. I'm not optimistic.

  16. #11 Ari- Thx., interesting.

/slithers off to research Malaysian Islam madhabs.

  17. Earl # 17 ... let me know what you find. My brief look only caused more "confusion" ...this is a predominantly Shiite neighborhood, how ever the main Islamic Mosque in Kuala Lumpur sire appears to be Sunni ... e.g., one minaret, not two as usual with Shiite.

I realize, of course, that I am an unlettered ignorant running scoundrel of a Yankee Dog. :-/ :D :-L

  19. Of course, all y'all realize that if Sunni Qurans, K-Lorans, what-eveah, are distributed in a Shiite neighborhood ... I can stir up some sh*t by pointing out that the Baathist Sunni devils are infiltrating ... :))

The most prominent local Mosque in my neighborhood (in "Church Row" on Ford Road M-153) ... most definitely Shiite ...

  21. Ari @ 20:

    Twenty seconds on wiki reveals:

The Sunni Islam of the Shafi'i school of thought is the official, legal form in Malaysia, although syncretist Islam with elements of Shamanism is still common in rural areas. Mosques are an ordinary scene throughout the country and adhan (call to prayer) from minarets are heard five times a day. Government bodies and banking institutions are closed for two hours every Friday so Muslims workers can conduct Friday prayer in mosques. However, in certain rural states such as Kelantan and Terengganu the weekends fall on Friday and Saturday instead of Saturday and Sunday. The Malaysian authorities have strict policies against other Islamic sects including Shia Islam.[16] Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has faced persecution in Malaysia.[17] A notable sect that has been outlawed is Al-Arqam.[18]

  23. @Earl 22

Of course, that means that the the shafi'i sharia'h manual, the Umdat al-Salik, is an absolutely sound fiqh reference when speaking of Malasia and its vile ex-PM "Dr." Mahathir Mohammed.

  24. Earl # 22 ...that makes its choice odd for this neighborhood. We'll see what this year's version is when it comes.

Not that I'd know what differences there might be, if any, between a Shiite or Sunni Koran.

What I do know is more Shiite women dress like penguins, or Dominican Nuns, take yo' pick.
