Friday Night Music

The Bollywood Beatles LOL! Shamelessly stolen from my friend Fred on FB. I'm not sure what bothers me the most, the fact that there are four "Beatles" playing guitar or that the man in the white suit looks eerily like Bryan Ferry's brother...

That had me laughing so hard AFG had to ask me what was wrong.

But they never did cut to Shirtless Putin glowering at them from a corner table. In that, I'm disappointed.

    =((

  2. That was just bizarre, and it drove me nuts that they were playing "I want to Hold Your Hand" but the subtitles were some other lyrics. I wonder if it was just a bad translation of a bad translation.

    LOL!

  3. AM - that helped a bit, but when I clicked on 'Hello, Goodbye' all was well.

  4. I'm still the only person I know who has seen The Beatles live! In Sydney, Australia, when I was 12!

Thank you Alphie for the video link, it's great. Too bad it wasn't live. You can tell they were lip synching to the original recording because in the video John and George are playing acoustic guitars but in the recording they were playing electric guitars.

Plus it sounds exactly like the record, lol!

I figured that much. The sound was just too good. I couldn't find any "live" videos; the rest just all seemed to be music along with still images.

Huh- I didn't even notice the guitars. Watching it again, I see they don't even have microphones. And where are the hand claps coming from? Hard to tell during most of it, but at the end you can see all of them playing... and yet the hand claps continue.

    Spooky.

Yes, it did indeed. That's for the tip. I'll probably spend half the night watching these...

Funny thing about those hand claps. I now know that the hand claps were probably the among the last things dubbed on those early Beatles recordings. But even as a non-sophistocated 8 year old in 1964 I thought they sounded funny.

    Now I know why.

I looked at that and thought; sheesh, who was sophisticated at 8...

    Then immediately realised, I was!

  9. My goodness, the Bollywood boys will need a chiropractor after all that excessive head flopping!

Fay, you were sophisticated at 8? Me, I was climbing trees, throwing rocks, and using Barbie as a fleet commander for my armada of model ships. :))
