The Return Of State's Rights

Along with those states that have already passed laws to exempt themselves from the upcoming federal 'healthcare' fiasco, now a fifth state has exempted itself from federal firearms laws for guns manufactured, sold and used within its borders.

South Dakota has added language that provides for fines and/or jail time for federal agents who attempt to enforce those federal laws within the borders of their state.

Hmm, maybe I need to move west, again.

  1. Judging from the map of pending legislation, you won't have to move west. I'm shocked and elated by the number of states who have either passed laws exempting themselves from federal control, or have legislation on the table.

You made my day, DWT! Thanks for posting this good news.

  2. That is good news. It is about time.

I wonder how people who cheer when local jurisdictions refuse to enforce immigration laws will cry foul at this, as "States' Rights" is a "euphemism" for "racism."

  3. Yes, that's wonderful news, I'm glad you posted this, DWT. I see our state has pending legislation, even though this is a very blue state, our gun laws are quite liberal (in the literal sense, lol), so I believe it has a good chance of passing.
