Wave Of Ecstasy

Please, forgive me. I had never heard this song before last week when it was played at the gym. Hmmm, didn't sound at all familiar, except it did sound a bit like Squeeze. But I knew it wasn't. But who was it and how could I find out? All I could remember of the lyrics was "ecstasy" and "tsunami"

So that is what I googled and Viola! That was enough and here is the song (don't hate me please).
I.
Just.
Can't.
Hear.
This.
Enough.

  2. Hmm... yeah... it's the phat Squeeze-esque guitar riffs which saves Prozzäk from the bubblegum label I was gonna hang on it...

    (My first thought was Aqua.)

  4. Okay, I finally broke down and listened to it. You're right! It's a great workout song; the beat is perfect!

On the flip side, I'm afraid it might be one of those songs that gets stuck in my head for days on end. Or weeks even. Arghh! :)

  7. Fay, do you listen to any modern electronica? BT, Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, DJ Tiesto?

I don't mean to be down on your choice of tunes - in general I'd say you and Matt listen to a more culturally enriched selection than I do - but omg I'd say you can do better if you're looking for workout music...

  8. Well lewy, I don't choose the workout music LOL, whatever the gym plays is what I work out to!

I only posted this video because the tune caught my ear and I had never heard it before. Plus the London accent (sung by a Canadian! caught my ear and reminded me of Squeeze).

  9. lady red and florrie. yes, after a number of years of not working out I finally hauled my big, fat, a** back to the gym.

Feeling much better, more flexibility, more energy, you know...all that stuff they tell you except you don't believe it until you actually do it!
