Proud To Be A Teabagger

I found this great video at Michelle's place. Enjoy!

  1. Our local tea party rally was held yesterday evening. Unfortunately, we couldn't make it, but our local liberal rag covered the story.

According to the paper, TWICE as many people attended this year as last year. Last year we had 1,500 folks, which was a great turnout for such a rural area. This year? The liberal paper guesstimates 3,000. Wow.

The MSM Obama-worshippers have figured out that we're not all dumb hillbilly honkies. Really? Ruh roh. Wednesday AND Thursday, Brian Williams' bunch at NBC covered tea party rallies in Boston and DC with minimal snark and condescension. What's up with that? Hmm...

Keep it up, teabaggers! The power of the ballot box will roar mightily in 2010.

  2. The Tea Party in my town, consisted of 300-400 folks (my estimate, the local paper just said 'hundreds') and it was quiet, sedate, respectful and very unhappy with the way things are going.

  3. Lady Red -- just think of Louie in Casablanca --goeing whichever way the wind blows.

You don't really expect core values out of the MSM, do you?

  4. Nope, the MSM has no journalistic integrity left. They sold the last remaining scrap when they actively campaigned for a presidential candidate in the 2008 election.

I just thought it was telling that NBC (of all networks!) is waking up and smelling the coffee. It has nothing to do with "reporting the news", and everything to do with "uh oh, this hopey-changey thing ain't workin' out too well for NBC".

I watch the NBC evening news every night. It's important to be aware of the left's slant on events. The only way we'll peacefully find our way out of this mess is for the left-of-center and the right-of-center to find common ground on which to build, and to marginalize the far left/right (Nancy Pelosi, Ron Paul, etc).

The pundits and entertainers (Beck, Olbie, Stewart, et al) are irrelevant. Anyone with half a brain looks past them, and using these guys to categorize a political philosophy is a mistake. They are merely cashing in on an economic opportunity and raking in the big bucks. It's the American way!

The rest of us (common American families, dems and repubs and indies) are trying to survive, and to us, it's not an about entertainment or corrupted media, it's about doing what's right and being able to pay the mortgage and educate our kids. It's about leaving our kids a better country than we had.

Okay, rant off. Have I bored you to death? Yada yada yada. ;)
