Ann Romney Beats Out "Grilled Cheese" On National Grilled Cheese Day

When I see stuff like this, it makes me want to unplug my computer, go live in a cave and paint rocks.

  1. Right after I post it to the web, and write "lol omg wtf". And add an emoticon. :)

  2. Hee hee ... they say all publicity is good. There's that.

A world measured by "Tweets" scares shit out of me ... can I come paint rocks, too?

  3. I can't believe I missed National Grilled Cheese Day! I love me some grilled cheese.

For those of you who have been following Alphie's adventures in cooking (I'm sure I've posted about this at least two times in the past three years)... I just found a few potatoes (uncooked) that we had left over from Easter, and since I had nothing better to do with my Friday night I decided to boil and dice them up so I can have some quick breakfast taters in the morning. I was really looking forward to this until I remembered that I already used the lone onion that we had sitting around yesterday when I made pepper fajitas (super yummy btw). Anyhow, my dismay turned to instant delight when I opened up the fridge to store the taters for the night and discovered... leftover peppers and onions! Those babies are going into the pan with them taters in the morning. Hooray!

You may now go back to your cave dwelling and/or rock painting

  4. I'm smiling reading your post, Alphie. On my shopping days, when Tom gets home from work he checks out all the cupboards and freezer on the off chance that I got some kind of treat. The last part you wrote made me think of his reaction when he finds something :-)

  5. Finding delicious leftovers is like finding the gold at the end of the rainbow. Especially when you don't expect them.
