Friday Night Music...

...that doubles as the weather report for Vancouver.

Purple Rain, Prince

Rainy Night In Georgia, Brook Benton

I Wish It Would Rain (be careful what you wish for Fay!) The Temptations

The Rains Came (ain't that the truth!) Sir Douglas Quintet

The Day That The Rains Came Down, Helen Shapiro (amazing voice for a 15 year old!)

  1. Oh, Brooke Benton, Rainy Night in Georgia: Right singer, right guitar player, right song, right time. I can lose myself in that recording. Absolutely beautiful. -- one of the best records ever.

And Helen Shapiro -- what a great voice.

The other songs are great, too.

    Great Friday Night Music post.

  5. Weather in Portland is, uh, "seasonal". Finally. Had a weird winter, especially December which was cold and crystal clear.

    1. When it was cold in Seattle, it was crystal clear. It always reminded me why I moved there to begin with.
