We do not tolerate people that talk or text in the theater. In fact, before every film, we have several warnings on screen to prevent such happenings. Occasionally, someone doesn't follow the rules, and we do, in fact, kick their asses out of our theater. This video is an actual voicemail from a woman that was kicked out of one of our Austin theaters. Thanks, anonymous woman, for being awesome.
Did I mention how much I love Texas?
Hahaha!!! Oh geez, I'm wiping tears out of my eyes!
ReplyDeleteAustin should give these guys a trophy or a commendation or something. Kicking that little twerp out of the theater constitutes a public service.
Texas rocks. No doubt about it.
LMAO! A person who uses the words fuck, fuckin', shit, shitty, crapy ass and assholes is complaining about the impoliteness of the THE-A-TER owners???
ReplyDelete=))
Alamo Drafthouse rocks!
ReplyDeleteAnd the Canucks won!
One more win and it's ours....
Woohoo, Fay!! That's awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen is the next game? I may actually watch so I can send good vibes to you, Matt & Jourdan.
hee, maybe I'll even become a hockey fan...
Hey florrie! Next game is Monday in Boston. Game 7 (if necessary)is Wednesday in Vancouver.
ReplyDeleteGO CANUCKS GO!
I'm going to go put a reminder on it right now so I don't forget. Thanks, Fay.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, 11:00 am, I hope you aren't going to have to miss it, Fay.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm hitting the sack, good night!
Errrr, like Emily Litella would say, regarding my last post - never mind.
ReplyDelete(I was looking at a replay of game 5, game 6 apparently is on at 5:00). :-/
I watched the third period of the game, and enjoyed it immensely! Go Canucks! Luongo is VERY good.
ReplyDeleteCompletely OT but I think that Barry Manilow should stay away from the plastic surgeon for a while.
ReplyDeleteWTH???

"Luongo is VERY good. "
ReplyDeleteExcept when he's not...
Canucks fans have sort of a love/hate relationship with LOUIEEEE.
1) Best commercial for Alamo Drafthouse EVAH.
ReplyDelete2) WTF, Barry? Given the complications I just had develop from my surgery, I have no idea why someone would continually subject themselves to the plumping and preening he seems to be addicted to.
Plus, it looks friggin' ridiculous. RIDICULOUS!!!
Yes, I get it. Getting old sucks. But take a page from Betty White, dude, and do so gracefully. Everyone loves her. :)
afw, I read your comment about refraining from gardening due to your surgery (on FB) and I went back quite a ways but didn't see what happened. (Although I did see the pic of you smiling bravely from your hospital bed :-) Are you OK? What happened?
ReplyDeleteAs to Barry, he's got the face he deserves. I can't stand him ever since he said he wouldn't go on The View because he couldn't abide to be in the same room with the evil conservative, Elizabeth Hasselbeck.
Eff you, Barry, I hope your nose falls off.
Aww, thanks, florrie! I'm really fine, all in all.
ReplyDeleteWe decided that I should have a certain procedure done before our scheduled move to the Third World, as I didn't want to end up with a hernia while there (I didn't have one already, but thanks to some enormous children, my stomach muscles were so far apart it was ridiculous).
I was the lucky person who flipped the coin to land on its edge, and my original 4 - 6 week recovery time is now 4 - 6 months because I developed a lovely condition called necrotic flesh, which we now refer to as my "Zombie Stomach."
It's nasty, to say the least. But it was caused by an oxygen issue and not staph, so it's not going to spread to my organs or anything. But I do have a ginormous, gaping hole in my gut at the moment, which is both disconcerting and disgusting. I'm not quite sure how large it will end up being (it hasn't finished demarcating yet), but I'm as okay with it as a person can be.
I mean, I can't change it. It wasn't due to negligence on the part of the doctor or hospital as far as I know right now. I didn't do anything to cause it. Sometimes crap happens. And I'm not sure the outcome of a hernia where we're going would have been any better.
And it WILL heal up without much of a scar - it will just take an ass-load longer.
AFG had to leave for a couple days, but I have a good friend who came down to stay with me. So I'm very lucky friend-wise.
So - s'okay. I've seen people deal with far, far worse. FAR worse.
I'm kind of surprised that Barry's nose didn't get afflicted with this during at least ONE of his surgeries, though.
Oh, you've been through the wringer! You have a great attitude, afw, that's bound to help the healing.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you, girl.
(are you watching the Dos Santos/Carwin fight tonight?)
Jeez, AFW.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping and praying for a rapid recovery.
Jeebus AFW, I had no idea you were that sick. Necrotizing fasciitis is nothing to fool with...be a good girl and take ALL of your antibiotics! ALL. OF. THEM. Glad it's from oxygen deficit and not MRSA.
ReplyDeleteDrink tons of liquids, and eat lots and lots of protein and carbs. If your appetite is on the blink, you can drink nutritional supplements such as Ensure High Protein.
I wish so much that I lived closer so I could be there for you. Love you ( and I love your positive attitude too!) {{{AFW}}}
Manilow looks like a plastic toy. Yikes. Is his face frozen that way?. :-/
ReplyDeleteWow afw I had no idea you were having such a horrible time recovering. Please, please, please look after your self and follow doctor's (and Nurse Red's) instructions :)
ReplyDeletexoxo
"Sometimes crap happens."
ReplyDeleteAin't that the truth. Sorry it happened to you, afw. I hope you have as quick a recovery from this as possible.
