Very scary. It's been going on for quite some time. The worst part is this: after you jump through all the hoops and are finally "legal", you end up bidding against someone who doesn't have a license, insurance, tax numbers, or an attorney and accountant on retainer. You can't compete. Bankrupt? Folding your business? There's a stack of forms (and fees) for that too.
It's ridiculous, and fatally destructive to small business. Government, at all levels, has become a ravenous behemoth sucking the life out of the American dream.
