Morning Coffee

Employment statistics remain lethargic as Americans endure a brutal heat wave and continual shovelfuls of merdi aimed their way from Washington. 

Today's interesting reads:
 
Vasko Kohlmayer laments the death of the dollar, and Peggy Noonan catches a fleeting glimpse out of the corner of her eye (apologies to Pink Floyd).   The spluttering NY Times editorial staff wrap themselves in the Constitution.

Question of the day:  will the feds release General Motors from it's deal with the devil?  Stay tuned...
