Watermelon Man

Some fine jazz to help us forget the sh*t. Mongo Santamaria, Watermelon Man

Which leads me to Jon-Luc Ponty, to Al Dimeola, to Ronnie Montrose, playing 'Town Without Pity' -

Back to Al Dimeola, from one of my favorite jazz/rock albums of the 70's -
'Race With The Devil On A Spanish highway'

And Jon-Luc Ponty:'Enigmatic Ocean'

AND Stanley Clark, inventor of the Picollo Bass. 'School Days'

And of course, Weather Report. 'Birdland'

  3. Great music Dances, thank you.

It's really easy to post a You Tube video here. When you are on the You Tube page, on the right of the video there is a line/box that says "embed"

All you have to do is highlight and copy the embed code and paste it right in the post or comment box and the video is embedded!

Viola! No special code or programming required, You Tube has it all figured out for technical neophytes like us!

  6. Umm, thanks to me for the videos are really misplaced, all I did was a poor linking job.

I do believe it was the Magic Fayre who turned this into a post, rather than a disjointed collection of comments.

Worse yet, I can't even see the videos in the post.

  7. You can't see the videos Dances? What do you see in their place and what browser are you using?

  8. Fay, it's a problem in my PC - all I see is the little icon in the upper left corner with the red square, green circle & blue triangle.

That happens most places I go that link videos.

My computer spontaneously disables parts of the programs I need to view videos. Gus calls it 'Windows Rot', but since XP is no longer supported I will just have to put up with it until I get something new.

That was supposed to happen today, but Gus was sick, so I am hopeful for next weekend.

  9. Testing...uh, oh...copy & paste of embed code doesn't work for me, I get the error message: "Your HTML cannot be accepted: Tag is not allowed: OBJECT "

My status as Putz in Chief is safe, I guess.

  10. Probably a good thing....'cause I can fill up a dozen pages with jazz favorites, going back to the 50's *allot* to boot.

  11. You do realize that the guitar player on Stanley Clark's "School Days" album was Icharus Johnson.
