Airplane 101

An elementary primer for those who wonder at all the bits and pieces of an airplane, performed with a good sense of humor. Do notice "Captain, my captain".

Don't miss the initiation chamber!

The 'other voice' side of the plane.

  2. Heh - true Lewy, much consternation and screwing up of faces answering that question for the little ones. I was surprised to see it there really.

  3. I cannot (unfortunately) tell you why this is so hilarious to me in so many ways, but it is.

  5. Not really Luther :)

And no, I'm not a member of the mile high club.

  6. Mile high club? Somehow, I just don't feel "sexy" at 40,000 feet when I'm being squished between two complete strangers and breathing other people's stale air. Ooo baby! Hubba hubba!

The green plane is funny, Luther. :)

  7. Wouldn't it be great if all planes were painted so entertainingly? Love the whole idea. Thinking of the way pilots decorated their WWII planes...

  8. Okay, Fay. I just had to give you a hard time, you know. :)

Hahaha... Lady Red, you did just take the 'romance' out of the idea. Not that there is any in that meme anyway. I'm glad you like the green plane, I was a little hesitant about posting it actually, it seemed a bit much.

True, MW, that would be a neat thing. I'd like to see the 'nose art' that the women pilots would put up.

  9. I love the interesting, crazy, and diverse stuff that gets posted here. I ask you: what other blog has photographs of a chartreuse, graffiti-covered airplane on the front page?

We should get an award! Or something. ;P

  11. In 1960, I saw a film called The Chartoose Caboose. In the past fifty years, other than know it was a color, I had no idea what color it was. If I had to guess, I would have guess it was a red or purple.

We do have an educational blog.
